Singer Diljit Dosanjh performed to a packed venue in Indore on Sunday, delivering an electrifying concert as part of his ongoing Dil-Luminati India Tour. During the event, he took a moment to address the controversy surrounding the illegal sale of tickets for his shows, which had sparked a heated debate among fans and organizers alike. The concert tickets had been illegally sold at exorbitant prices in the black market shortly after they were released on official platforms, leading to widespread outrage and scrutiny.
Diljit, however, was quick to defend himself and the event organizers, stating that the issue of black marketing is not a new phenomenon in India. “This is nothing new. Ever since cinema became popular in India, tickets have been sold in the black market. Now, only the methods have evolved,” he said, adding, “So, you can say whatever you want about me, but I have no fear because I am not doing anything wrong.”
The singer also expressed his confidence in his standing within the Indian entertainment industry, emphasizing that he is not to blame for the rise of inflated ticket prices or the illegal sales. His bold statement comes at a time when ticket prices for live shows in India are under increasing scrutiny, with many artists and promoters grappling with the complexities of managing both demand and fair pricing.
