Baby John is a film by Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Jackie Shroff, that is suffering disappointingly at the box office. These include Kalees’s mass action dramas, released on the festive day of December 25 (aka Christmas Day), which, despite the alleged prowess of the actors and the breathless action ensuring the masses had set themselves up for a more exciting film, are in reality more deviant in its failure.

The release received a fair opening on its first day, follow-up in subsequent days faded dismally. The film opened at Rs 10.75 crore on its first day and another Rs 4.25 crore in two days, while it managed Rs 3.25 crore the next day, Rs 3.75 crore by Saturday, and on Sunday, the fifth-day collection is approximately Rs 4.5 crore, for its extended weekend box-office total, the film in length competed with Rs 27 crore.

The enormous late surge suggests that Baby John has caught neither fire at the box office nor much gained any virtue owing to pre-release hype due to mixed reactions to the film by people and immense disinterest for remake-based films in general. The tag of “remake”

means it attracts really negative vibes, the prime reason being the audiences would indecisively confer stories already scripted once.

The final reports suggest that Baby John would finally end its run with a worldwide collection of around Rs 75 crore, still pretty meager for a movie with such a budget. Even good deals for non-theatrical releases considering losses on the side of a producer seem improbable.
