The Disney animated film ‘Mufasa: The Lion King,” directed by Barry Jenkins, is on a strong run at the Indian box office. The Hindi and Telugu versions of this film enjoy enhanced popularity with added bang, having been associated with superstars of the stature of Shah Rukh Khan and Mahesh Babu.
Having an impressive start, ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ breezed over the first hurdle on its very first week when it minted Rs 63.25 crores. The movie managed to continue the spree on its second week, bringing home Rs 42.75 crores. While moving over Rs 100 crore, the film also added the entire amount that stands at a sum of Rs 106 crores. It took in further collections of Rs 12.10 crores to move over by Week 3 to reach an aggregate of Rs 118.85 crores.
On its fourth Friday (Day 22), the film, after witnessing more crowd-pulling big films like Game Changer and Fateh, aggregated a decent collection of Rs 75 lakh.
