Hyderabad’s Nampally Court has granted several reliefs to actor Allu Arjun in relation to the stampede case that occurred during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2. The actor, who had been arrested in December 2024 and later granted bail, has been exempted from attending the Chikkadpally police station every Sunday, a condition initially imposed by the court. His lawyer requested this exemption for security reasons, and the court has agreed to it. Additionally, Allu Arjun has been given permission to travel abroad.

The stampede occurred on December 4, 2024, when a large crowd gathered at the Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad for the film’s premiere. As Allu Arjun emerged from his car to greet fans, the situation escalated, leading to a stampede that resulted in the death of a 35-year-old woman and left her eight-year-old son severely injured. The child remains hospitalized.

Following the incident, Allu Arjun was arrested on December 13, 2024, and sent to judicial custody for 14 days. He was granted interim bail shortly thereafter and received regular bail on January 3, 2025, after appearing in court via video conference. Initially, the court had ordered him to report to the police station every Sunday unless further orders were issued.

On January 7, 2025, Allu Arjun visited the injured child in the hospital and wished him a speedy recovery. However, his legal issues are not entirely resolved, as reports indicate that police officials may still file a petition challenging his bail
