Diljit Dosanjh brought his trademark charisma to the 53rd International Emmy Awards in New York, turning heads with his effortless charm and bold fashion choices. Though he did not win the Best Performance by an Actor award—losing to Spanish actor Oriol Pla—Diljit remained in high spirits. After the ceremony, he shared behind-the-scenes photos and videos on Instagram, reflecting on the milestone moment with the caption, “Kal Ko Kaun Tera Naam Yaad Rakhe Ga,” a line that resonated deeply with fans.
His Instagram carousel began with a candid shot of him walking through the streets of New York alongside Amar Singh Chamkila director Imtiaz Ali. The two appeared engrossed in conversation before transitioning to images of them posing with members of the Netflix India team at the award ceremony. Several photos featured Diljit flashing his signature smile in impeccably styled outfits. In one, he wore a turtleneck paired with a grey suit and a bright red turban; in another, he dazzled in a champagne-beige sequin blazer, satin shirt, black trousers, a bow tie, and a black turban. The final slide captured a candid moment of his team adjusting his turban before he headed to the red carpet.
A video shared by his team offered more glimpses from the day. Diljit and Imtiaz were seen strolling through the city as team members snapped photos. At one point, Diljit paused to greet a fan, warmly clicking selfies and offering a respectful gesture with folded hands.
Diljit and Imtiaz Ali were among India’s only nominees at the 2025 International Emmy Awards, held on November 24. Diljit was recognized for his critically acclaimed portrayal of legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila in Netflix’s biographical drama, which was also nominated for Best TV Movie/Mini-Series.
