Amazon MX Player, the free streaming service of Amazon, is about to launch its much-awaited series First Copy in June 2025. The suspenseful show, which unravels the reality of 1990s Mumbai film piracy, is set to enthrall audiences with its gripping storyline. The platform has launched a gripping teaser on Eid, providing a glimpse into the dark and seductive universe in which the glamour and glitz of Bollywood meet the risks of piracy and counterfeit products.

Star-Studded Cast and Thrilling Plot
First Copy boasts an illustrious cast of stars, including Munawar Faruqui, Gulshan Grover, Krystle D’Souza, Saqib Ayub, Ashi Singh, Meiyang Chang, Inam Ul Haq, and Raza Murad. The series traces the path of Arif (played by Munawar Faruqui), who starts from scratch to become the brains behind a successful piracy business in the vibrant world of Bollywood. As Arif gains more influence, he gets involved in a ruthless game of survival, having to outwit the industry’s largest players and their partners in crime who want to bring him down.

The show is also a notable collaboration of Bollywood’s bad man Gulshan Grover and veteran actor Raza Murad, with the latter appearing in a cameo role in the web series. The chemistry of this duo is perhaps the most thrilling part of the show, attracting a lot of interest among the audience.
