Prime Video has announced that its upcoming reality series Alliance will premiere worldwide on June 26. The show introduces a new format for the streaming platform, becoming Prime Video’s first daily series globally. New episodes will be released every day, offering viewers a continuous reality show experience.
Alliance is also notable for marking actor Kunal Kemmu’s debut as a reality show host. Known for his work in comedy, drama, and thriller films, Kemmu will take on a new role as the face of the competition series. The show is based on a popular Dutch format created by John de Mol and developed by Talpa Studios. The Indian adaptation has been produced by Banijay Asia.
The Hindi language reality series will be available not only in India but also across 240 countries and territories worldwide. The launch forms part of Prime Video’s entertainment lineup connected to this year’s Prime Day celebrations.
The format of Alliance centers on strategy, teamwork, and changing relationships. The show begins with 16 contestants entering the competition as duos. However, as the game progresses, contestants discover that partnerships are not guaranteed to last. Alliances can help players move forward, but they can also become obstacles as the competition intensifies.
The concept is built around shifting loyalties and unpredictable gameplay. Contestants must constantly adapt to changing situations while trying to stay in the game. In the end, only one participant will remain and be declared the winner.
Speaking about the series, Nikhil Madhok, director and head of Originals at Prime Video India, said, “We are thrilled to bring Alliance, to audiences across the country. As a first of its kind format for India, Alliance will combine strategy, shifting loyalties, and constantly evolving gameplay, creating a truly immersive experience that will keep our audiences engaged every single day from start to end.”
He also highlighted Prime Video’s ongoing collaboration with Banijay Asia and pointed to the growing popularity of unscripted content among viewers. According to Madhok, the success of recent reality and entertainment shows has encouraged the platform to continue investing in new formats.
With daily episodes scheduled to release at 12 noon, Alliance aims to offer viewers a different style of reality competition. Combining strategy, competition, and changing alliances, the series will test how contestants navigate relationships and challenges while competing for the top spot. The show premieres globally on June 26.
