Monday evening was a special day for Shah Rukh Khan fans as he proudly launched his son Aryan Khan’s upcoming directorial debut Netflix show, The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. During an event in Mumbai, he unveiled a glimpse of the much-anticipated show. Despite it being produced by his and Gauri Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Studios, he downplayed his role as a producer, stating that he is “just a bloody star.”
Hosted by Maniesh Paul and comedian Sumukhi Suresh, SRK introduced Aryan’s debut project during the Next On Netflix event. Speaking humorously about the difference between being a producer and an actor, he said, “Main aise naam ka producer hoon. Mera kya simple hai yaar. Ye sab producer, director, writer, production, nahi… I am just a bloody star.”

The 59-year-old actor revealed that he has watched a few episodes and found the show “extremely funny.” He also thanked industry colleagues for participating in his son’s show. Highlighting his love for humor, Khan mentioned that he has passed the responsibility of cracking jokes onto Aryan since his own jokes often offend people.
“Mere jokes pe log bura maan jaate hain, takleef ho jaati hai. Maine jokes karna chod diya. Maine ye virasat apne bete ko de diya. Maine kaha, ‘Jaa beta, baap ka naam raushan kar’,” he added. Shah Rukh attended the event with his wife Gauri Khan, daughter Suhana Khan, and son Aryan Khan.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan took a break in 2024 after starring in three blockbuster films: Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. He will next be seen in Siddharth Anand’s King, reportedly alongside Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, and Abhay Verma. The Ba***ds of Bollywood, originally titled Stardom, will reportedly explore the inner workings of the Hindi film industry and may feature cameos from several Bollywood actors.
