0

Drama series 'Suits' will be renewed for the eighth season even after actors Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle will wrap up their work in the second half of season seven.

To help fill the void, actor Dule Hill has been promoted to series regular, reports hollywoodreporter.com.

Hill will join returning stars Gabriel Macht, Sarah Rafferty and Rick Hoffman in season eight. Adams and Markle will exit with a two-hour, wedding-themed season finale which will air on April 25.

"After seven seasons, Suits remains one of USA Network's most beloved and popular series. While we're excited for season eight, everyone at US will deeply miss Patrick and Meghan, and are grateful for the talent and commitment they brought to Suits season after season. We wish each of them nothing but the very best," said Chris McCumber, president of entertainment networks at NBC Universal Cable Entertainment, in a statement.

The drama will further lean into Macht's character Harvey Specter, who has been the focal point for the show since its start.

Aaron Korsh, creator and showrunner of "Suits", said: "I would like to thank Patrick and Meghan for their extraordinary contributions over the last seven years. Not only have they been outstanding in their roles as Mike and Rachel, they are also superb human beings who will always be beloved members of the 'Suits' family, and we wish them well in their days to come."

"Speaking of days to come, I am incredibly excited to welcome back our phenomenal crew and cast – Gabriel, Sarah, Rick and Dule – who will continue the roller coaster ride with all of our amazing fans," he added.

Bruce Willis: Being a dad major factor in my action films now

Actor Bruce Willis says being a father is a major component in the action films he takes up now.

"Before I had kids, (being a father) wasn't a part of these action films I do. Now, it's a major component," Willis said in a statement.

Willis is back in action and will be reprising the role of Paul Kersey in his upcoming vigilante action film DEATH WISH.

A remake of the 1974 action thriller with the same name, DEATH WISH is directed by Eli Roth. It tells the story of Kersey, a father, who when his wife is murdered and his daughter sexually assaulted, becomes a vigilante killer nicknamed "The Grim Reaper".

On the film, Willis, a father of five, said: "This film really makes you think about how far you will go to protect your family. After his own family is brutalised, Paul Kersey has zero tolerance for any bad guy to harm another innocent person. And we show the audience the underlying reasons why he does what he does."

The Carnival Motion Pictures' project DEATH WISH will release in India on March 9 in English, Hindi and Tamil languages.

Michael B. Jordan: Wolverine was big character in my upbringing

Actor Michael B. Jordan says he loves all the superheroes from the X-MEN franchise, but The Wolverine played a huge role in his upbringing.

Jordan will soon be seen in BLACK PANTHER as villain Erik Killmonger — who has an agenda that challenges T'Challa (essayed by Chadwick Boseman) for the throne.

"My initial exposure to the Marvel universe was pretty extensive. I grew up with Marvel and comic books and was always a big fan. As a kid I loved all of the graphic novels and cartoons so I was very familiar with the universe coming into it as an actor," Jordan said in a statement.

Asked about his favourite Marvel character, he said: "My favourite characters are all of the X-Men. Wolverine was a big character in my upbringing. Magneto was as well. I always loved Magneto's sensibility of doing whatever's necessary to see change.

"But also understanding the humanity aspect of it as well. He kind of played both sides of the fence, which you don't see very often. He just had a different philosophy than Charles Xavier."

Set shortly after CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, BLACK PANTHER will see T'Challa returning home to the isolated, technologically-advanced African nation of Wakanda to become king. Marvel Studios' BLACK PANTHER is slated to release in India on February 16.

Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali finds the web series and digital platform space quite exciting for storytellers.

At a screening of ALTBalaji's 'The Test Case' here on Monday, Imtiaz said: "It is a very interesting thing. You can have very interesting stories on web series. It is a new world which is unravelling in front of us, and as directors, we all are excited about it. The stories which we cannot do in films due to duration, we can do here on this space."

Imtiaz also said he is one who gives honest opinion at special screenings.

"I don't lie at screenings. If someone is my friend, I would tell them honestly because I believe that one shouldn't lie in a profession."

Despite popular belief about competition between directors in the film industry, the ROCKSTAR director said: "See, directors are very close to each other. They always give you the right verdict about the film. Especially my close friends… they give me the right verdict".

Imtiaz also denied rumours that he has already begun his work on the sequel of JAB WE MET.

"There is no sequel I am making right now. It is definitely not the sequel of JAB WE MET that I am making."

On PADMAAVAT, Imtiaz said it carries Sanjay Leela Bhansali's true true blue trademark style.

"It was very good. It is a true blue Sanjay Leela Bhansali film… Larger than life, very aesthetic and the actors have done very well. It has an engaging story line".

Ashley Graham couldn’t relate to models

0

Model Ashley Graham says she struggled to relate to models during her own childhood.

Graham, 30, who admires former supermodel Cindy Crawford, did not see any stars with a similar body shape to herself during her younger years, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"Traditionally, curvy models have been overlooked for beauty campaigns because society equated beauty with thinness. I used to have Cindy Crawford's Revlon campaigns taped to my wall as a teenager, and I remember thinking, 'Wow – she is gorgeous!' But also, 'Where is the model who looks like me'," Graham told entertainment portal Refinery29.

Graham also called on other women to make sure that fashion brands know what and who they wish to see in their advertising campaigns.

"I hope this changes the status quo, and encourages more brands to equally represent everyone. Remember that perfection does not exist. Use your voice to tell these brands what you want to see. The more vocal we are, the more change there will be," she said.
