Sanjay Dutt’s most awaited comeback film BHOOMI is set to hit the theaters on September 22. The film is about father and daughter relationship.

Aditi Rao Hydari is playing the role of Sanjay Dutt’s daughter in the film.

Now that the film is complete, the makers have begun the promotions and marketing of the film. The first poster is out and its intensifying, with baba’s bearded face cut and blood oozing out.

It’s gripping and keeps you wanting for more.

Akshay Kumar is one actor who does everything that he can for the nation, from doing patriotic movies to encouraging women to undergo training in martial arts to supporting the jawans.

Last night he was seen supporting women’s cricket team in London and was all cheers for the team, despite they lost the game.

Certainly Akshay was excited and enthusiastic as women’s team reached finals. Amidst all this, Akki didn’t realise that with the flow of the wind, the nation flag that he was waving went upside down and soon after this blunder, when he posted the snap on his official handle, social media started trolling him.

Akki apologized for the same and deleted the snap.

His intentions weren’t wrong but holding a national flag upside down is code of conduct.

Ranbir Kapoor’s JAGGA JASOOS, that was delayed endlessly, is rejected at the BO. And father Rishi Kapoor is outraged with son Ranbir’s film failing to create any magic. He didn’t mince his words in calling director Anurag Basu ‘irresponsible’ in an interview with mid-day.

Talking about the incessant delay and the film being stuck repeatedly, Rishi went on to rant, “Anurag is such an irresponsible director that he doesn't complete the film. It was supposed to release three times in the past two years, but it kept getting delayed.”

He added, “Honestly, Neetu and I saw the film on Thursday, only a day ahead of the release. Till Wednesday, Anurag Basu was still mixing the film. Can you imagine that? Pritam probably delivered the music only a week before.”

Rishi also commented on current generation filmmakers’ style of functioning. “Today's filmmakers are doing this with everybody. They don't show their films before release to take opinions, and treat it as though they're making a nuclear bomb."

Besides, Rishi also spoke about Govinda’s part being chopped from the film. “Ranbir hasn't held back on spending money on it. You even threw Govinda out of the film. If you don't want Govinda to work in your film, why did you ask him in the first place? Iss sab mein Ranbir ka naam toh kharaab hoga, aur kya? Mera kharaab hoga,” he said in the interview.

However, son Ranbir never went ahead and spoke about Anurag, despite the film getting delayed. We wonder what Anurag has to say about Chintuji’s lash out!

Akshay Kumar is synonym to patriotism. He has done couple of patriotic films in the past and never fails to support the nation in any form.

Akshay, who is a martial arts enthusiast, has often encouraged women to learn martial arts and not be depended on someone ever in life. And now he is proud that the country's women's cricket team has qualified for the finale and also rooted for them.

Akshay, who is shooting for the film GOLD, squeezed time to attend the ICC woman’s final match between India and England.

The match took place in London, Akki travelled to the stadium to support the Indian team.

Although we lost the match, Akshay Kumar cheered the women post the match and conversed with them.

Former actress and Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna recently had tough time while traveling on a flight as she was "choked"  at 30,000 feet when she was forced to inhale the smell of “dead toads” from a fellow passenger’s socks.

"Polite way of telling fellow passenger about the 2 dead toads in his socks, chemical weapons capable of decimating nations? #ChokingAt30000Ft," the actress posted.

Twinkle said she complained about the matter to the air hostess.

"I did and she sniffed around, sympathetically nodded and when he fell asleep she surreptitiously sprayed his smelly feet with perfume!" she added.

Anushka Sharma and Shah Rukh Khan’s JAB HARRY MET SEJAL, which came under Censor scanner for the use of the word ‘intercourse’ in one of the mini teasers by Censor chief Pahlaj Nihlani, can heave a sigh of relief. Well, the film has been cleared by CBFC and granted a U/A certificate.

Director Imtiaz Ali in an interview said that there are only minor changes. There are no visual cuts but the CBFC has demanded audio cuts and which is perfectly fine with the film’s team.

Starring Anushka, Shah Rukh Khan, the film directed by Imtiaz Ali, is set to hit the screens on August 4, 2017

The premier new release of the week, Sabbir Khan’s Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nidhi Agarwal starrer, MUNNA MICHAEL, saw a dull start of around 15-20 percent on an average during the opening shows. The film did witness some improvement during the latter shows, but nothing substantial. The first day appears to be in the 6-7 crore range.

Having said that, MUNNA MICHAEL is being appreciated by a reasonable section of the young audience, which augers well for the opening weekend prospects of the film.
 
The other major release of the week, Prakash Jha’s Ratna Pathak and Konkona Sen Sharma starrer, LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA, could not quite capitalize on the good reviews and prestige factor, managing quite an ordinary start, except for a handful of high end metro multiplexes. The film though is sure to find its audience and the very low 5 crore investment is a huge advantage.
 
Meanwhile, last week’s Anurag Basu directed Ranbir-Katrina starrer, JAGGA JASOOS, could not capitalize on a decent opening weekend (33-34 crore) and saw an ordinary weekday(s) run, and thus ended up netting nearly 46 crore (to be validated) during the opening week from India. Given the high involved costs, JAGGA JASOOS faces a bleak prospect at the ticket window, both in India and overseas.
 

The culprit has been identified, the person who leaked Akshay Kumar’s TOILET: EK PREM KATHA has been found.

This is what we call luck, close shave and a wrong parcel going to a right person. As reported earlier, Akshay Kumar has assured his fans that Crime Branch will ensure safety to TOILET: EK PREM KATHA after the reported leak brought into notice by choreographer turned filmmaker Remo Dsouza.

Actually, according to a report in spotboye, the pen drive didn’t came into Remo Dsouza’s gym trainer Vithal’s hands, allegedly Vithal laid his hands over the pen drive. The report says that the assistant (name not disclose on request and sensibility attached with the issue) of Neeraj Pandey and Shital Bhatia (co producers of TOILET: EK PREM KATHA) forgot the pen drive somewhere, and later it reached Vithal !!?

Since Akshay was shooting in London for his upcoming Reema Kagti’s GOLD, Remo couldn’t reach him, so he got in touch with the producer of TOILET: EK PREM KATHA Prerna Arora who asked the director of the film Shree Narayan Singh to get the pen drive that contains the leaked copy of the movie from Remo's office.

We have already reported about the assurance given by Akshay and the producer. More good news is according to reports the movie is safe and hopefully no copies had been made..

Chalo all well that ends well.. but what about the assistant who reportedly forgot the pen drive? We hope the assistant’s carelessness will be considered as a human mistake and will be pardoned.

In a major development, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), has acquired a near 25% (24.92% precise) stake in film and television production house Balaji Telefilms Ltd in a deal worth Rs 413.28 crore.

RIL will buy 25.2 million equity shares of Balaji at Rs164 each, subject to shareholder and other approvals.

“This investment in content production (including digital content) is in line with RIL’s commitment to invest and grow in telecom, digital and media businesses,” RIL said in a statement circulated in the media.

Balaji Telefilms is a content producer operating across television, films and digital platforms. “The investment by RIL would be utilized to further speed up content development initiatives, especially for ALT, thereby providing it with a strong ability to compete with other OTT (over-the-top) service providers—both global and Indian,” Balaji Telefilms said in a statement.

Market experts feel this deal will boost Balaji’s plans in the digital video space.

The danger of piracy loomed over Akshay Kumar’s highly awaited independence week release TOILET – EK PREM KATHA co –starring Bhumi Pednekar. Here is what Akshay Kumar has to say on this.

Akshay’s response came after choreographer turned filmmaker Remo D'Souza came across a pirated copy of the film in a pen drive through his gym trainer and naturally like a concern and responsible member of film fraternity, was shocked. Remo immediately informed Akshay and the makers.

Bollywood is fighting battle against the demon of piracy since ages and sometimes things have gone out of control beyond imaginations with movies like UDTA PUNJAB and GREAT GRAND MASTI getting leaked couple of days earlier to their release but the case with TOILET: EK PREM KATHA was overwhelmingly worrying initially as the movie got leaked 2 weeks earlier than its release.

However, things seem to be now under control with Akshay Kumar’s assurance to his fans and confidence shown in Crime Branch.

Showing confidence, Producer Prernaa Arora from KriArj Entertainment has also reassured the industry, audience and public in general in an official statement which reads, “There have been reports of my film TOILET : EK PREM KATHA having leaked online. I would like to assure my well-wishers and colleagues not to worry as everything's under control. Someone tried to create mischief, but thanks to the Crime Branch, it's all under control."
