Aahana Kumra made her television debut with Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘YUDH’ and also bagged a lead role in the TV series Agent Raghav – Crime Branch with Sharad Kelkar. She was also seen hosting few sports shows, and is now seen doing a pivotal role in LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA along with Ratna Pathak Shah, Konkana Sen Sharma, Plabita Borthakur, Vikrant Massey, Sushant Singh Rajput and few more.

The film has been under constant controversy for its bold subject as the film showcases desires and aspirations of women in Indian society, which is considered as taboo in Indian society.

In conversation with Aahana Kumra she spoke in length about why she took this film and who she idolizes and what does power mean to her.

Talking about LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA, Aahana Kumra said, “I have been raised in a very liberal way. In fact for me the most powerful women that I have come across is my mom. She was into police and the entire uniform and the way people would salute her, I was hugely fascinated by her. I love people with power and with power comes responsibilities. My role in the film is also powerful, that’s why I readily accept it.”

“In fact when I heard the script, I told my mom about the subject to which she said, you can go ahead with it. My mom saw the film at one of the film festivals. My father is yet to see the film. I am sure that the film reaches out to masses and is liked by all,” ends Aahana Kumra.

Nidhhi Agerwal a young and talented girl hailing from Bangalore, came to Mumbai to work in Bollywood, and luckily she bagged a role opposite Tiger Shroff in MUNNA MICHAEL. Nidhhi has been working hard to match steps with Tiger and feels delighted to be working with Nawaz, who is a powerful actor.

In an exclusive conversation with Nidhhi Agerwal she spoke in length about working in MUNNA MICHAEL, her camaraderie with Tiger Shroff and why she choose to debut with a dance-themed film.

NIDHHI AGERWAL

How did you bag MUNNA MICHAEL?
I don’t belong to Bollywood, nor do I have a family history relatively close related to this fraternity, I hail from Bangalore and many relatives and friends would say, I should try modelling or advertisements, so I gave it a shot. It wasn’t initially easy as I had to convince my parents that I want to go to Mumbai. After convincing them I decided to go to Mumbai, gave ample of auditions before I bagged MUNNA MICHAEL.

Were you apprehensive about dancing opposite Tiger Shroff?
No, I wasn’t. I had rehearsed a lot to dance. I am a ballet dancer myself. I have been inclined towards dancing since long. In fact Tiger is a very nice and a genuine human being. He is so flawless, never did he made me feel I am a newcomer. There is a huge fan following that Tiger has – be it kids of all age groups or even girls, they truly love Tiger.

Had it not been for MUNNA MICHAEL would you wait for a different genre to make your debut in Bollywood?
I don’t know. I think MUNNA MICHAEL is a mix of drama, romance and dance. I don’t think apart from MUNNA MICHAEL any film would have been apt for my debut.

Share your experience on working with Nawazzudin Siddique?
He is an amazing actor. He is a powerhouse of performance, not only acting, but there are so many things that I learnt from him. I won’t tell anyone, those are secret which I will cherish all my life.

As you came to Mumbai, you had issues in finding a house in Mumbai, has the issue sorted?
Yes, initially there was, actors here don’t get house that easily, but my parents flew down from Bangalore and everything is sorted now.

What kind of films would you want to do in future?
It’s too early to choose. I am ready for every film and every genre, apart from horror, I can’t work in horror. I am really scared!

What next after MUNNA MICHAEL?
I have three films deal with Eros. I can’t say what next now! I will spend time with friends and family.

Apart from the fact that Salman Khan has a cameo in Varun Dhawan’s JUDWAA 2, sequel to his 1997 blockbuster comedy film JUDWAA directed by David Dhawan, yet again the superstar enthralled for JUDWAA 2! Well, Salman shared the stage with Varun at the recently held IIFA 2017 in New York.

Both Salman and Varun shook a leg on the song ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’ from the original JUDWAA and left the audience at IIFA mesmerized with their performance. The duo coordinated with their steps and leaved everyone in awe! Interestingly, ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara’ will also be part of Varun’s JUDWAA 2 which is yet again made by David Dhawan.

After IIFA concluded, Varun took to a micro-blogging site to share the image. He posted:

Recently, Salman shot for his cameo part with the entire team of JUDWAA 2. According to the reports, Salman will revive his roles of both Prem and Raja in the sequel. He will play the twin characters, who have aged by 20 years now. And possibly his twin roles will come face-to-face with Varun Dhawan’s double roles, especially in the climax.

While the film is yet to hit the screens i.e. September 29, for now the fans can get delighted with Salman & Varun’s ‘Tan Tana Tan’ performance at IIFA!

Despite being a step-mother, Kareena Kapoor Khan shares a great bond with Saif Ali Khan’s kids Sara Ali Khan & Ibrahim Ali Khan from earlier marriage with Amrita Singh. Kareena has always been supportive of Saif’s kids and Sara & Ibrahim are also quite fond of Bebo. Even they share great equation with Kareena and her 6-months old kid Taimur Ali Khan.

Time and again Kareena has spoken good things about Saif’s daughter Sara’s talent. This time around too when Bebo was asked about Sara Ali Khan’s Bollywood debut, which is making huge headlines, she went on to say that Sara will rock in the film industry.

While Saif seems worried about Sara’s decision of joining films (an uncertain profession), Kareena has rather more confidence about his daughter making it big in Bollywood.

She was quoted saying in a Mumbai Mirror report, “I am sure she is supremely talented. She has it in her genes and is looking gorgeous. I truly believe that with her beauty and her talent, she is going to rock the industry for sure.”

Well, with words coming from super talented Bebo herself, we are confident that Sara will be the next big sensation in B-town!
