Sabko Yeh Sunny Shaam Mubarak
Hai Ye Khushi Wala Jaam Mubarak
Mitran Nu Yeh Salaam Mubarak
Shaam Mubarak, Jaam Mubarak

Sabko Yeh Sunny Shaam Mubarak
Hai Ye Khushi Wala Jaam Mubarak
Mitran Nu Yeh Salaam Mubarak
Shaam Mubarak…

Aaj Celebrate Karenge
Kisi Ka Na Wait Karenge
Old Fashion Mein Nachna
Step Naya Create Karenge

Aaja Nach Le Mere Naal
Zara Puch Le Mera Haal
Aa Pee Le Thodi Thodi Mere Saath
Teri Kamar Pe Mera Haath Sohniye

Mubarakan..Mubarakan..Mubarakan..

Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan
Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan
Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan

O…
Haha.. Badshah!

Dekho Nachna Vachna, Mujhe Aata Nahi
Daaru Ko Bhi Main Haath Lagata Nahi
Lekin Kabhi Jo Do Peg Pee Loon Toh
Mere Jaisa Dance Koi Kar Paata Nahi

Main Hoon Badshah, Ban Queen Baby
Tera Nakhra, Bada Mean Baby
Do You Understand What I Mean
Teri Awesome Kar Doon Raat Sohniye

Dance Ko Speed Badha Do
Baji Hai Beat Gazab Ki
Dekh Kar Desi Jhatke
Neend Udd Jaaye Sabki

Nashe Mein, Teri Chaal
Hai Ghalat Se, Yeh Khyaal
O Tere Sang Guzre, Saari Raat
Meri Mind Na Kariyo Baat Sohniye

Mubarakan.. Mubarakan.. Mubarakan…
Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan..

Sabko Yeh Sunny Shaam Mubarak
Hai Ye Khushi Wala Jaam Mubarak
Mitran Nu Yeh Salaam Mubarak
Shaam Mubarak, Jaam Mubarak

Sabko Yeh Sunny Shaam Mubarak
Hai Ye Khushi Wala Jaam Mubarak
Mitran Nu Yeh Salaam Mubarak
Shaam Mubarak, Jaam Mubarak

Mubarakan..Mubarakan..Mubarakan…

Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan..
Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan..
Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan..
Party Wali Night Hai Mubarakan..

Party Wali Night Hai..

Let’s Go…

Mubarakan!

Arjun-Anil Kapoor’s MUBARAKAN first song is party anthem with retro touch

0

Generally the promotional track of any film is released just few days prior to its release. However breaking the norm the makers of Arjun Kapoor and Anil Kapoor starrer MUBARAKAN have released the first song of their film which also happens to be the title track of the film.

Composed by Rishi Rich and Yash Anand the track is very groovy and peppy. The music of the song (in bits) reminds you of retro item numbers especially ‘Mehbooba’ song from the evergreen film SHOLAY.

Badshah’s rap adds his charm to this party number while singers Juggy D, Yash Narvekar and Sukriti Kakar do a decent job.

Arjun Kapoor in double role fails to excite while Anil Kapoor does seems more energetic and charming than him on –screen. Over all the video of the song has nothing appealing about it but the song grows on you if you listen to it repeatedly for few times.

Perhaps as Eid is around the corner maybe that’s the reason why the makers of this film decided to released their title track today in order to encash on the upcoming festive season.

Has Ajay Devgn won over Akshay Kumar?

0

You win some, you lose some. It seems this time Bollywood SINGHAM Ajay Devgn has won over the new age poster boy of on screen patriotism – Akshay Kumar.

It is learnt from the market sources that Akshay Kumar who was interested in a film based on the 1989 Raniganj coal disaster some time back in which the Khiladi Kumar was supposed to play the role of the fearless engineer Jaswant Singh Gill – the mastermind of the Raniganj coal disaster rescue operation.

JASWANT SINGH GILL, AJAY DEVGN AND AKSHAY KUMAR

Now it is rumored in the market that Akshay Kumar has decided to back off following reports of Ajay Devgn playing the same role in a film inspired from the same incident to be directed by RUSTOM fame Tinu Suresh Desai.

Jaswant Singh Gill the former additional chief mining engineer, who evacuated 65 coal miners, trapped in a flooded mine in Raniganj, West Bengal. Gill was awarded the ‘Sarvottam Jeevan Raksha Padak’ by President Ramaswamy Venkataraman in 1991.

According to a report by Mumbai Mirror, the makers have obtained the rights of the yet-untitled film and work on the script has already begun.

Jaswant Singh Gill was also awarded the Bhagat Puran Singh Award for Service to Humanity in 2016.

This is the second time Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar have clashed. Earlier both of them where keen to make a film based on the 1897 battle of Saragarhi. Rajkumar Santoshi also stepped in making it a three dimensional conflict starring Randeep Hooda.

At present Santoshi has done the mahurat and shot some parts but now some differences between the producers and Santoshi has brought the shooting to a halt. Whereas Ajay and Akshay’s film on the same has not moved further from the announcement stage.

With the reported rights being taken by Devgn’s team, and the market buzz on Akshay backing off after Ajay Devgn stepping in the same shoes of Jaswant Singh Gill but with a more firm foot, it seems this particular round has gone to Ajay Devgn.

Yes, we are also waiting for Akshay Kumar’s response on this.

Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 22nd June 2017

0

This Friday's hot release is going to be the Salman-Zhu Zhu starrer, TUBELIGHT. The Kabir Khan directed film is all set to embark on a good start, with a day wise escalation in collections. Given that the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to fall on Monday, TUBLIGHT is expected to end up with a big extended weekend haul. Having said that, TUBELIGHT is not carrying the hype of SULTAN or BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, so the business is unlikely to be on the same level. An interesting reason for that may well be too much of Sohail Khan (who has already been rejected by the audience years back!) and the impression that apparently the film is not resting entirely on Salman's shoulders.

All the releases of last week, Vivek-Riteish venture BANK CHOR, Neha and Rajveer starrer G KUTTA SE and Sharib Hashmi's PHULLU etc., failed to impress at the box-office. The best performance (comparatively) came from BANK CHOR, which netted around 5 crore during the opening week from India. The rest of the releases were much lower.

Moving on, as expected, Sushant-Kriti's RAABTA could not achieve anything at the ticket window collecting 2.10 crore from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unrecieved), 65 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 36 lakhs from Surat, 17 lakhs from Baroda, 18 lakhs from Rajkot, 65 lakhs from Pune, 9 lakhs from Nasik, 15 lakhs from Goa, 1.75 crore from Delhi city, 40 lakhs from Noida, 27.65 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 22 lakhs from Kanpur, 35 lakhs from Lucknow , 11 lakhs from Agra, 8.75 lakhs from Allahabad, 2.50 lakhs from Aligarh, 15.50 lakhs from Dehradun, 50 lakhs from Gurgaon, 21 lakhs from Faridabad, 3.15 lakhs from Kurukshetra, 5 lakhs from Panipat, 20 lakhs from Chandigarh, 11.55 lakhs from Jalandhar, 5 lakhs from Patiala, 10.15 lakhs from Amritsar, 16.25 lakhs from Ludhiana, 3.75 lakhs from Bhatinda, 2.50 lakhs from Ambala, 1 lakh from Shimla, 2 lakhs from Jammu, 65 lakhs from Calcutta, 8.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 15.75 lakhs from Patna, 5.50 lakhs from Dhanbad, 14 lakhs from Ranchi, 6.55 lakhs from Bhubaneshwar, 5.50 lakhs from Guwahati, 15 lakhs from Nagpur, 18.50 lakhs from Raipur, 30 lakhs from Indore, 8 lakhs from Gwalior (collections from 3 cinemas unrecieved), 20 lakhs from Bhopal (collections from 5 cinemas unrecieved), 45 lakhs from Jaipur (collections from 3 cinemas unrecieved), 10 lakhs from Jodhpur, 6 lakhs from Ajmer, 10 lakhs from Kota, 10 lakhs from Udaipur, 45 lakhs from Hyderabad, 8.75 lakhs from Aurangabad, 60 lakhs from Bangalore, 4.50 lakhs from Mangalore, 4 lakhs from Mysore, 2.50 lakhs from Vijayawada, 4.75 lakhs from Visakhapatnam and 3.15 lakhs from Kochi. Netting 20 crore during the opening week from India, the lavishly mounted RAABTA is a trade disaster.

The other release of the same week, Rajkummar Rao starrer BEHEN HOGI TERI, could barely muster 2.25 crore during the opening week from India and is a box-office debacle.

Concluding with Irrfan Khan's, HINDI MEDIUM, the film saw another paying week as it collected 80 lakhs from Bombay (collections from other cinemas unrecieved), 20 lakhs from Ahmedabad, 7 lakhs from Surat, 6 lakhs from Baroda, 2 lakhs from Rajkot, 26 lakhs from Pune, 1.40 lakhs from Nasik, 2.20 lakhs from Goa, 1 crore from Delhi city, 15 lakhs from Noida, 10 lakhs from Ghaziabad, 5 lakhs from Kanpur, 12.50 lakhs from Lucknow , 2.55 lakhs from Agra, 2.15 lakhs from Allahabad, 6 lakhs from Dehradun, 20 lakhs from Gurgaon, 8 lakhs from Faridabad, 1.75 lakhs from Panipat, 11.15 lakhs from Chandigarh, 2.25 lakhs from Jalandhar, 1.75 lakhs from Patiala, 3.15 lakhs from Amritsar,7.55 lakhs from Ludhiana, 20 lakhs from Calcutta, 1.50 lakhs from Siliguri, 3.15 lakhs from Patna, 1.50 lakhs from Dhanbad, 3.50 lakhs from Ranchi, 2.50 lakhs from Bhubaneshwar, 5.75 lakhs from Nagpur, 5.50 lakhs from Raipur, 10.50 lakhs from Indore, 1.75 lakhs from Gwalior, 10 lakhs from Bhopal, 15 lakhs from Jaipur, 3 lakhs from Jodhpur, 1.15 lakhs from Ajmer, 1.75 lakhs from Kota, 2.75 lakhs from Udaipur, 20 lakhs from Hyderabad, 1.75 lakhs from Aurangabad, 35 lakhs from Bangalore and 1.75 lakhs from Visakhapatnam. Adding another 6 crore HINDI MEDIUM has netted 61 crore in four weeks from India and is a super hit. The film will also end up grossing $2m from the overseas.

This trivia about AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY will make you speechless

0

For the lovers of Bollywood and followers of megastar Amitabh Bachchan, AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY will remain an evergreen cult entertainer. A peep down memory lane tells an amazingly extraordinary story about this Manmohan Desai directed blockbuster that will make you speechless. Find out.

We all are awed by the terrific impact this escapist entertainer has had on our minds since decades after decades, hailed as a unique and extraordinary ode/tribute to secularism and nationalism, this Bollywood lost and found drama helmed by Manmohan Desai in his winning impeccable style has many film historians highlighting this magnum opus for its nationalistic allegory but we are not talking about the well known facts.

AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY AND SHREYANS HIRAWAT

In fact we are talking about an occurrence that occurred a few years back after the release on the film in 1977.

During the early 80’s when Narendra Hirawat from NH Studioz – the largest library of feature film rights acquired the film for its re-release, a special screening was organized at Mumbai’s Ambassador Hotel where 350 guest from the industry and media where invited for its re-release function.

Amazing indeed!!. At times when we have the life of a movie restricted to a weekend, this nostalgia about an iconic blockbuster receiving a bigger fanfare in its re- release just in few years makes you speechless and underlines the power of distribution.

Narendra Hirawat’s son Shreyans Hirawat shares, “ It was a rarest of rare occasion when the fanfare, the amount of money spend in creating the buzz and awareness of AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY was more than what happened during its first release a few years back. When the movie got re-released it ran for 15 weeks constantly in which first three weeks were house full. We earned 100% profit from its re-release”.

When we quipped further on this Shreyans says, “The amount we paid to acquire AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY was at par with making a movie during those times. Manmohan Desai was very stern and was not willing to give us rights but the perseverance of my father for one and a half year paid off and Desai agreed finally to give us the rights.”

The way Manmohan Desai got convinced is also equally interesting, Shreyans Hirawat shares, “ Man ji (Manmohan Desai) was not willing but my father was able to convince him after a struggle of one and half years. My father made Man ji realize that he is a maker and his job is to make films, let people like him do the trade and as a producer you have already minted the maximum during the release, re-run is just an additional and why should a maker like you waste time in bothering about screening license again and again, let people like us take this burden and you continue to churn blockbusters one after another. Man ji got convinced and as they say rest is history”.

Yes its history but more than that it’s a unique rare occurrence when a blockbuster in its repeat run gets a special screening getting organized where 350 people attend and the movie then runs for 15 weeks continuously and again makes the cash registers ringing.

At a time when movies have a life of a weekend and get premiered on Television channels within 3 – 4 months of its release, this trivia about AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY surely makes us speechless in wonder.

Kabir Khan: I honestly believe that we over-market our films

0

These days Bollywood filmmakers are obsessed with coming up with the most unique and innovative ideas and ways of promoting their films.

Everyone is busy in this race of presenting their film way better than their contemporaries and there by trying to hog the limelight as much as possible.

KABIR KHAN AT TUBELIGHT TRAILER LAUNCH

However there are few filmmakers who have shown time and again that as long as you are confident of your film’s content there is no need of promoting it in any way. The recent example being BAAHUBALI, makers of which hardly resorted to any kind of promotional activity for it and still it went on to become not only a massive hit but the highest grossing Indian film of all time!

Bollywood Bhaijaan Salman Khan’s next TUBELIGHT is about to release and the makers of this film are also leaving no stone unturned to promote it in whichever ways possible.

During an interview with director Kabir Khan I asked about his opinion regarding Bollywood relying too much on promotions these days to which he quickly responded, “I don’t like it. I think we overdo it. There is no empirical evidence that anybody has been able to show me that this (promotions) leads to more ticket sales. And I can tell you it really doesn’t leads to more ticket sales. It just feeds media, advertising and television channels for content.”

He added further, “I honestly believe that we over-market our films. According to me as long as you are able to tell the audience this is the date my film is coming on and this is what you are going to see in terms of content, show the trailer  and may be a few informational interviews that’s it. Right now we are over doing this marketing. I know lots of film that have proved that. If you see DHOOM 3 was the biggest grosser but it did not do any interviews. BAAHUBALI is another example as it’s the biggest grosser for years to come.”

When asked if there is any hope of this trend changing in near future he said, “I really hope so it does.”

He added further jokingly “And if it does then we should only do group interviews as many a times while doing one-on-one (interviews) I wonder like haven’t I answered that question already?”

On a serious note we really wonder if Kabir personally has such views then why he is allowing TUBELIGHT to be promoted in such a grand manner. Or is it that in Bollywood the director doesn’t have any say while it comes to the promotion of their film?
