After the much wait, the Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh starrer mega project THUGS OF HINDOSTAN has hit the floors. The first schedule of the film will begin in Malta.

Set off the coast of Southern Europe, and in close proximity to Tunisia and Libya, Malta is an island nation of Europe with relatively unexplored ocean side scenery. 

This ambitious film that brings together Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan for the first time will begin shoot aboard two specially constructed, massive ships that are currently docked by the Maltese seaside. THUGS OF HINDOSTAN will begin filming on these ships that have been built for over two months.
 
Writer-director Vijay Krishna Acharya explains, “The set of the film is in a high security water zone, with restricted access. Both these ships have been built in the early eighteenth century style, when vessels would carry cannons and other weapons. An international crew has been hard at work creating these elaborate ships in Malta. Most of the portions filmed on board these ships involve high octane action.”

With every detail, including its stellar star cast, THUGS OF HINDOSTAN has generated huge amounts of anticipation. Now with the promise of action on high seas and a dose of history, this mega project only builds more excitement. The film goes on floors on June 5th.

Salman Khan’s next TUBELIGHT is the most awaited film of the year. After the tremendous response to the trailer and first song of the film, ‘Radio song’ has become a foot-tapping number.

And now the makers are back with yet another song ‘Naach Meri Jaan’!

Last week Parineeti along with Akshay Kumar was part of an event for self-defense graduation day for women wherein she spoke about her childhood and how she was victim of eve-teasing.

At the event she spoke about the initiative taken by Akshay Kumar and also got nostalgic by speaking about her struggling childhood days.

During media interactions she shared that her family was poor and could not afford a car for her to go to the school. Thus, she is used to ride a cycle to school every day and became a victim of eve-teasing.

In the press conference she said, “I am so touched after coming here as I am thinking about my life. I am from a very small city, Ambala. I had two brothers growing up and we had a lot of difficulties. We didn't have any money, so I used to travel by cycle, to school. We did not have a car or even money for the bus. I used to fight with my mom and dad saying why do I have to cycle to school every day. I did not have the money to join a martial arts class during the time. I am so happy for you that you got this opportunity. Thank yourselves that you are graduating from such an institute. Make use of this knowledge and go kick some ass.”

Looking at her comment we believe that Pari was trying to fit in the event and created a story so that more and more females feel encouraged to join self-defense and train themselves. She also spoke how back then during her time these families weren’t relevant. Pari was perhaps trying to fit in the event and look convincing enough and created a case study for the females present.

However, soon after the event, MERI PYAARI BINDU actress was perhaps misinterpreted for her statements.

Her former classmate from school slammed the actor by saying that her story is a lie. He posted on his social media saying, "Parineeti Chopra Shame…coming from a privileged background and lying through the teeth in front of the camera. I guess this is what being a celebrity means. Create a fabricated sob story of no money no car etc etc (sic)"

He also said, “Coming from the same school I probably also remember the car her father used to have. And going to school on a cycle was a trend those days and also a privilege not everyone had. My friends from CJM (Convent of Jesus and Mary) would probably understand the lies a bit better (sic).”

It seems her classmates didn’t understand what Parineeti tried to convey.

And when news flashed on media portals his friend deleted the post.

Being out of the country and Parineeti wasn’t aware that her statement entered into controversy.

She immediately clarified on social media saying that her words have been misconstrued.

Just when we thought Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh is down and out as the lady went missing, she was spotted in Bandra recently and gave us a cool surprise with her appearance. And now she is back in action. All those who have been missing their favourite actress Chitrangada on-screen, would be delighted to know that Chitrangada is gearing up for her next with Saif Ali Khan.

The makers of BAAZAAR have now brought Chitrangda Singh on board to play Saif Ali Khan’s wife Mandira.

Saif Ali Khan recently started shooting for Nikkhil Advani's BAAZAAR, at a mall in Mumbai.

Nikhil confirms, “I'm happy that the cast is looking so exciting. The cast consists of Saif Ali Khan, Chitrangda Singh, Radhika Apte and Rohan Mehra who would be making his acting debut. The shooting of the film has just begun and will be wrapped up by mid-August.  The film is slated for a December release.  As far as the role of Mandira in BAAZAAR is concerned, director Gauravv K Chawla, came up with the idea of casting Chitrangda, adding that script was going through revisions before the team started shooting and Gauravv wanted to ensure he had the script locked before he approached an actress for the role.”

Nikkhil further adds that Chitrangada's role is instrumental because it's a powerful character that's silent and simmering, like a volcano about to erupt.

Sanjay Dutt, who recently wrapped up his much-awaited comeback film BHOOMI, is on every director’s wish list. The actor has his dates locked till the end of 2018 with films like TORBAAZ, SAHEB, BIWI AUR GANGSTER 3 and also another collaborative project with Ajay Devgn.

The actor has decided to gracefully step out of Indra Kumar’s DHAMAAL franchise. The actor played a crucial role in DHAMAAL (2007) and DOUBLE DHAMAAL (2011). The third installment, TOTAL DHAMAAL, was expected to roll out this year, but the fact that Dutt is unavailable has caused the film some delay.

As per sources, Sanjay Dutt’s busy schedule and already locked dates is not the only reason why he won’t be doing the film. Besides the issue of unavailability of dates, Dutt was not okay with the film's adult comedy. He doesn’t want his children to see him in a film that has innuendo-laden jokes or crass humour.

Besides, co-star Riteish Deshmukh has backed out of the film as well.

Priyanka Chopra is currently busy promoting her debut Hollywood film BAYWATCH at Berlin.

We have seen PC meet and greet various celebs but what stunned us is Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra on Tuesday met Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi not in India but in Berlin, Germany. She may not have met the PM on home turf, she bonded big time with him in the foreign land.

PeeCee, who is promoting BAYWATCH in Berlin, took to social media to share a picture with the Prime Minister.

'Thank you for taking the time to meet me this morning @narendramodi Sir. Such a lovely coincidence to be in #berlin at the same time. (sic),' Priyanka Chopra captioned the photo.

Indian box-office can be so pleasantly unpredictable, and at times from the most unexpected quarters!

Well, obviously we are talking about T-Series’ Irrfan Khan starrer, HINDI MEDIUM, which released in the wake of BAAHUBALI 2 cyclone (still on!) and against a mighty opponent like HALF GIRLFRIEND, which comes from the EK VILLAIN team of Balaji Motion Pictures, director Mohit Suri and actress Shraddha Kapoor

However, while HALF GIRLFRIEND has just about managed to cross the 51 crore figure (after a 48.50 crore week) HINDI MEDIUM has built on a reasonable opening week (24 crore) and touched the 35 crore mark, both after the second weekend!

Even in the overseas, HINDI MEDIUM has grossed $1.5m and narrowed the gap with HALF GIRLFRIEND which managed $2.1m, after the second weekend. In fact HINDI MEDIUM has overtaken HALF GIRLFRIEND in the US.

What it basically means is that HINDI MEDIUM, which is already a clean success, is on way to a clean hit status.
