Friday, February 09, sees the release of BLACK FRIDAY which is finally hitting the marquee. More than the hard hitting subject of the film and its treatment by Anurag Kashyap, which has been heard and talked about a lot in last couple of years, the film is also notable for another important factor – Performances by the lead male actors in the film!

Kay Kay Menon, Pawan Malhotra and Aditya Shrivastava – These are the three men who keep the film running on their able shoulders and make sure that their flawless performances make an epic like BLACK FRIDAY a worthwhile experience. In the industry for long and having established them as the actors of substance, the three have a rich experience behind them which made Anurag choose them as the prime protagonist.

Kay Kay Menon plays investigating officer Rakesh Maria, who was the man in charge who along with his team went all around Mumbai while locking up suspects after the Mumbai blasts.

Pawan Malhotra plays Tiger Memon, the man who had a criminal record of being a smuggler and was a resident of Mahim, Bombay.

Aditya Srivastava is Badshah Khan, who was a part of the entire conspiracy and had gone into a hiding after the blasts. Later his run from the police came to an end as he got arrested at his village in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh on May 10, 1993. On questioning, he revealed that the bombing was carried out as a revenge for the atrocities suffered by the Muslim minority community during the December 1992 and January 1993 Bombay riots.

In the age where star kids rule the silver screen its now time for yet another starlet to make her mark in the industry. She is none other than VASTAVIKTA the daughter of legendary actor Late Shri Raaj Kumar. A degree in Arts from S.I.T Manhattan, New York, Vastavikta says, “Getting into acting was a professional choice. Deep in my heart and mind I always wanted to be an actress. I think it’s in my genes!!!” (Laughs) this ravishing actress.

She is making her debut with Karan Razdan’s supernatural thriller EIGHT where she plays the character of young girl who is born and bought up in London and who loses her parents in an accident. ‘The script rocks!!! Every character is worked on with so much detail that it is absolutely flawless,’ adds Vastavikta. This film is produced by Lucky Kohli under his banner of United Dreams Entertainment.

Ask her how did she feel facing the camera for the first time she says, ‘It’s like being at home! I think I am born to be in front of the camera and I am very contended with my decision.’

With EIGHT releasing just round the block this actress already has offers pouring in. Looks like there is a legend in the making!!!

In this film Sadhu Agase (Nana Patekar) is informed by one of his informers that Firoz is in Mumbai and the informer knows the location. Sadhu goes to meet the informer, but it turns out to be a conspiracy against him in which his rival Imtiaz arrests him. On the last part of the movie we came to know that Sadhu encountered Firoz before he got this telephone call. Then why did he go to meet the informer, as he already knew that it was definitely a conspiracy against him?
