The Instagram post, which featured wholesome moments with his son Agastya Pandya, romantic pictures with girlfriend Mahieka Sharma, and snapshots from his practice sessions, quickly took over the internet. However, it wasn’t just the family charm that caught fans’ attention—two specific details ignited widespread speculation.
The first was a puja the couple appeared to perform at Hardik’s home, and the second was a sparkling ring on Mahieka’s finger, which eagle-eyed netizens immediately linked to possible engagement news. Rumours intensified when social media users began sharing screenshots from the ceremony, convinced that the puja was part of a private betrothal event.
However, Pt. Chandrashekhar Ji, the priest who conducted the ceremony, later clarified the true nature of the event. Sharing pictures from Hardik and Mahieka’s home, he captioned the post: “Mangalwar puja performed for overall well-being with friends and family @mahiekasharma @hardikpandya93. From the Agni of Havan emerges ārogya, shānti, and the radiance of prosperity. Thus do the scriptures declare: he who seeks peace and complete well-being should offer oblations into the sacred fire.” The post was eventually deleted, but by then it had already been widely circulated. The priest’s explanation indicates that the puja was a traditional ceremony for health and prosperity, not an engagement ritual.
As for the ring that sent social media into a frenzy, neither Hardik nor Mahieka has commented on the rumours. Until the couple themselves offer clarity, speculation remains just that.
Hardik Pandya was previously married to actor and dancer Nataša Stanković. The former couple, who tied the knot in 2020, welcomed their son Agastya the same year. In July 2024, Hardik and Nataša announced their mutual separation and currently co-parent their son amicably.
The cricketer’s relationship with Mahieka Sharma went public in October this year when they made their first official appearance together. Though both initially refrained from addressing dating rumours, their affectionate social media interactions have left little doubt about their relationship status.
