Allu Arjun has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic death of a fan during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4. In a heartfelt video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the actor extended his condolences to the grieving family and assured them of his support. Arjun revealed that the massive turnout at the event was unexpected, and he only learned of the fan’s death the following morning. The woman, identified as Revathi, passed away in a stampede, and her son was hospitalized after suffocating in the chaos.

Arjun, visibly shaken by the incident, shared that he, along with director Sukumar and the entire *Pushpa* team, was “shocked” by the tragedy. He expressed his disappointment, noting that such an event had never occurred in his 20 years in the industry. Arjun also revealed that he has donated ₹25 lakh to the family to cover medical expenses and help support the children in the future, emphasizing that no financial gesture could compensate for the loss but that he wanted to show emotional solidarity.

Additionally, a case has been registered against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the theatre management in connection with the death under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The film’s producers, Mythri Movie Makers, and co-star Rashmika Mandanna also expressed their grief over the incident. In response to the tragedy, Telangana’s cinematography minister, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, announced that benefit shows in the state will be banned going forward to prevent similar incidents.
