Actress Janhvi Kapoor visited the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple ahead of the release of her film Peddi, which arrived in theatres on June 4, 2026. Her visit attracted significant attention after videos and photographs of her journey to the temple began circulating widely on social media.
Janhvi chose to take the Alipiri footpath, a route used by thousands of devotees who travel to Tirumala every year. Following temple traditions, she climbed 3,550 steps barefoot before reaching the temple. Dressed in a simple pink kurti and palazzo, the actress was seen making the journey with devotion and dedication. Several videos recorded during her climb have since gone viral, drawing attention from fans and devotees alike.
After reaching the temple, Janhvi participated in prayers and religious rituals dedicated to Lord Venkateswara. Photos from the visit show her dressed in a traditional purple silk saree. She completed her look with traditional jewellery, including a necklace, earrings, bangles and a waist belt. Her hair was styled in a half up, half down hairstyle, and she wore a bindi, adding to her traditional appearance during the temple visit.
The temple visit came on the same day as the release of Peddi, one of the most talked about Telugu films of the year.
