Jyotika shuts down troll! Her epic response to troll who said Vijay is better than Suriya

Jyotika and Suriya are among the best-loved South Indian film couples, whose mutual respect and love for each other is widely recognized. Yet a recent social media incident caused a stir among the fans when Jyotika posted a comment and one fan unexpectedly likened her husband, Suriya, to her co-star from Thirumalai, Thalapathy Vijay, claiming Vijay was “better” than Suriya.

Jyotika’s Response Stirs Debate

In reply to the comment, Jyotika left a laughing emoji, and many fans wondered if she was angry or laughing at the comment. Although the incident appears light-hearted, it soon created a fan war among the fans of Suriya and Vijay, both giant stars of the South Indian film industry. Though the reaction seemed light-hearted, it has caused a lot of online discussion.

Jyotika Speaks Out Against Sexism in Film

In a second interview, Jyotika discussed another grave concern—sexism within the film industry. She revealed with honesty that she is constantly known first as “Suriya’s wife” and second as her own name and achievement. The Shaitaan actress opened up that this repeated mention of her marital status rather than her profession has at times left her feeling like her identity was eclipsed. She called it a kind of “identity crisis” and asserted that, even though she herself had achieved success, she still experienced instances of discrimination due to her connection with a big-name actor like Suriya.

On the Work Front

Jyotika is currently promoting her next release Dabba Cartel, whereas Suriya is getting ready for his next venture Retro, a romantic action thriller to be directed by Karthik Subbaraj. Thalapathy Vijay, on the other hand, is getting ready for his last film, Jana Nayagan, before he completely shifts his career to politics.
