Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya are making waves on social media with their first Diwali celebration images as a newlywed couple. The couple, who wedded in December 2024, posted warm moments from their quiet celebrations, exuding sophistication and affection.
Sobhita was beautiful in a rich purple velvet suit, accompanying minimal make-up and classic jewellery that accentuated her natural elegance. Naga Chaitanya dressed to perfection for her in a beige kurta, keeping his appearance simple yet celebratory. The understated elegance of the couple received admiration online, with fans pouring into comments with love and admiration.
Their romance, as Naga has now disclosed, started in the most unlikely of ways — on Instagram. Guesting on Jagapathi Babu’s chat show Jayammu Nischayammu Raa on ZEE5, Naga explained how they got going with a straightforward emoji. “I never thought I would find my life partner on Instagram,” he stated. “I knew about her work, and one day she responded to a post related to my cloud kitchen, Shoyu.”. That led to a chat, and we finally met. What started as an online connection turned into a real-life romance soon enough.
In August 2024, the couple stunned fans by posting their engagement notice, followed by an intimate wedding on December 4 at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad — a location of sentimental value, constructed by Chaitanya’s grandfather, the iconic Akkineni Nageswara Rao.
Amala Akkineni, Naga’s stepmother, opened up about her relationship with her daughters-in-law in a recent interview on Aval Vikatan. She added, “I have great daughters-in-law… They are lovely and make me relive my own memories.”
Professionally, Sobhita keeps flying high. She recently made her Hollywood entry with Monkey Man starring Dev Patel, and received laurels from critics. She also featured in Love, Sitara, a Hindi film release on ZEE5 — again demonstrating her versatility cutting across industries.
