Namrata Shirodkar made heads turn recently at a sparkling Diwali party, joining the celebratory night along with her daughter Sitara Ghattamaneni and sister Shilpa Shirodkar. Looking resplendent in a beautiful pink ethnic attire, Namrata set an example for elegance, while teenage Sitara dazzled in a golden-yellow lehenga. The three-member family group added warmth and sophistication to the party, with Namrata posting peeks from the evening on social media.
“An evening filled with warmth, lights, and wonderful people… Truly unforgettable #Diwali nights…” she posted along with the pictures. Shilpa Shirodkar was spotted smiling along with her sister, contributing to the festive vibe of the event visited by a few prominent personalities.
Namrata was also in the news a little while back when she posted a throwback birthday tribute to Gauri Khan. The snapshot included moments with Sangeeta Bijlani, and importantly, Shah Rukh Khan photobombing the moment — something that immediately caught fans’ attention.
While that, Namrata’s spouse Mahesh Babu is all set for his highly anticipated movie, SSMB29. Written and directed by SS Rajamouli, the film is said to be an epic, globe-trotting jungle adventure. While it is still in hush mode, the title of the movie is likely to be announced on November 16, 2025. Buzz is already in full swing, with the suspected titles being Varanasi, Globetrotter, and Gen63.

Mahesh Babu will play the rugged explorer role in the film, based on Indiana Jones and African mythology, reportedly. The female lead will be essayed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran and R. Madhavan in prominent roles.
Originally thought of as a two-film series, the project will now presumably come out as one movie in 2027, shot over 2026. SSMB29 is looking like one of the most ambitious endeavors in Indian cinema to date.
