Bhojpuri cinema’s “power star” Pawan Singh is once again making headlines — not for his films or political appearances, but due to ongoing turbulence in his personal life. The actor’s strained relationship with his wife, Jyoti Singh, has become a hot topic on social media in recent weeks.
Jyoti Singh has publicly accused Pawan of denying her the rights and respect of a wife, despite their marriage. In response, Pawan Singh has stated that divorce proceedings are already in progress. Now, a new development has intensified the situation: Pawan’s legal counsel has confirmed that divorce is certain and claimed that Jyoti has demanded a hefty alimony of ₹30 crore.
The actor’s lawyer stressed that while Jyoti continues to make emotional appeals on social media — including a live video from Pawan’s residence where she asserted her marital rights — the matter is sub judice. “Just saying something doesn’t make it so. The court will decide based on facts and Pawan Singh’s financial status,” the lawyer said, urging that such personal matters should not be turned into media spectacles.
The lawyer also remarked that both parties should consider resolving the issue amicably. “After so much public drama and insult, who would want to stay?” he added. While Jyoti continues to assert her rights, sources close to Pawan suggest that the actor is unwilling to compromise, making reconciliation unlikely.
Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh tied the knot in 2018 — his second marriage. However, their relationship soon began to deteriorate. Over the years, both have accused each other on various platforms. With legal proceedings underway and tensions running high, it appears that their separation is now inevitable, and only the court will determine the final outcome.
