Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun, is one of the most highly anticipated films in Indian cinema. Initially scheduled for an August 2024 release, the film has now been confirmed to hit theaters on December 6, 2024, following delays due to pending work. Producer Bunny Vasu recently addressed the rumors surrounding the release date and assured fans that the film will indeed arrive on the announced date. The official confirmation came from Mythri Movie Makers, who announced via Instagram, “75 DAYS for the world to witness Pushpa and his matchless aura on the big screens.”

Allu Arjun himself put an end to speculation of further delays during the pre-release event of Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam, confirming that the film would release this year and not be pushed to 2025.

Mahesh Babu’s new look is compared to John Wick

The buzz for Pushpa 2 has been massive ever since the release of its first look on Allu Arjun’s birthday, where he appeared in a bold and unique avatar—dressed in a saree, with his face painted in blue and red, adorned with traditional gold and floral jewellery. The look captivated audiences, further elevating excitement for the sequel.

Pushpa: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise and features an ensemble cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Dhananjaya, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Rao Ramesh, and Ajay. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has generated immense anticipation, particularly following the success of the first part.

Rashmika Mandanna recently teased fans, promising that the sequel would be “bigger” than the first, acknowledging the high expectations. Fahadh Faasil, who plays the menacing character Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, has also been a highlight, with his recent poster showing him holding a gun and axe, evoking excitement among fans. Faasil’s portrayal in the first part was widely praised, adding to the anticipation for his return in the sequel.

With its grand scale and gripping storyline, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to make a significant impact on Indian cinema when it releases this December.
