Uploaded by Sun Pictures on Diwali through their X handle, the clip offers glimpses of high-octane action stunts and light-hearted moments from the set. “Wishing everyone a super Deepavali. Here’s an exclusive BTS from #Jailer2 #HappyDeepavali,” the post read. Supporters were quick to respond, with one inquiring into the return of Dr Shiva Rajkumar and another pointing towards the Bolt camera, suggesting some high-voltage action sequences.
Addressing the press, Rajinikanth also confirmed that he is in Kerala presently for a six-day shoot schedule and disclosed that the film should be wrapped up by June 2025, with the release planned by the end of the year. This update brings a sigh of relief to the fans, putting months of suspense regarding the timeline of the sequel behind them.
Jailer 2, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, will have Rajinikanth reprise his character as ‘Tiger’ Muthuvel Pandian with even more powerful adversaries to contend with. The returning cast is Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Mirnaa. SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Anna Rajan are the new cast members joining the film.
