Rishab Shetty's Holy Pilgrimage: Seeking Blessings After Kantara Success

After the record-breaking success of Kantara: Chapter 1, actor-filmmaker Rishab Shetty went to Mysuru to take blessings of Goddess Chamundeshwari and at the sacred Shrikanteshwara Temple. Famous for his strong spirituality and unassuming nature, Shetty took out time from his otherwise busy schedule to thank divine forces, which he feels were instrumental in the journey of the film.

Kantara: Chapter 1, which released theatrically all over the world on October 2, 2025, has turned out to be one of the year’s highest-grossing film successes, collecting close to ₹700 crore worldwide. With this runaway success, Rishab Shetty is also scheduled to visit Varanasi and the holy Kashi Vishwanath Temple to resume his spiritual journey.

Set during the 4th Century AD, Kantara: Chapter 1 unravels the mythological background of the mystical world of Kantara. Based in tradition and folklore, the film takes the viewer through eternal battles, divine intervention, and the religious bond between man and nature. Starring Rishab Shetty in the lead role, with Sapthami Gowda, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, among others in a strong supporting cast.
