Acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli celebrated his 50th birthday on October 9, 2025, with a flood of wishes pouring in from fans and celebrities across the film industry. Among the standout messages was one from Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, who is set to team up with Rajamouli for the much-awaited project tentatively titled SSMB29.
Mahesh Babu took to social media to share a heartfelt birthday note, writing, “Wishing the one and only @ssrajamouli a very Happy Birthday… The best is always yet to come. Have a great one sir,” alongside a picture of the two. His message not only conveyed warm wishes but also reignited excitement around their upcoming collaboration, especially with the cryptic line, “The best is always yet to come.”
SSMB29 marks the first-ever collaboration between Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu and is shaping up to be one of Indian cinema’s most ambitious ventures. Billed as a globe-trotting jungle adventure thriller, the film also features Bollywood icon Priyanka Chopra in a pivotal role. A teaser poster has already been unveiled, and the official title is expected to be announced in November 2025.
The production team has reportedly shot portions of the film in international locales like Kenya, where Mahesh Babu was spotted filming intense action sequences, according to the Times of India.
