Television queen Ektaa Kapoor made the big announcement during last night’s Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 by introducing the new lead of her super-hit supernatural franchise, Naagin 7. Sharing the stage with host Salman Khan, Ektaa had some fun banter and games with the contestants before announcing that actress Priyanka Chahar Choudhary will play the next Naagin, taking forward one of the most successful franchises on Indian television.
A special performance by Priyanka followed the announcement, where she set the stage ablaze with her powerful entry as the new shape-shifting serpent. Sharing the reveal video on social media, Colors TV captioned it, “Kehte hain ki agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh puri kainaat usse tumse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai! Wo Aa Gayi Hai!” —signifying that the wait for the new Naagin was finally over.
The first look had Priyanka looking every bit regal in her golden avatar, strong and mysterious. A high slit golden metallic skirt with a golden bralette, fringes, accessories gave her a look nothing short of mystical and mythical, bringing her predecessors Mouni Roy, Tejasswi Prakash, and Surbhi Jyoti to mind.

Created by Ektaa Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, Naagin has remained one of the most favorite Colors TV franchises. The fantasy drama borrows from various Indian folklores about icchadhari naagins, shape-shifting serpents that guard the powerful Nagmani, a gem said to possess life-giving powers.
