Bigg Boss 18 may be over, but the bonds made within the house still thrive behind the lens. One of those relationships that has been in the public eye is the lovely friendship between actress Shilpa Shirodkar and fellow housemates Karan Veer Mehra and Chum Darang. What began as a common ground within the house has turned into an unbreakable trio, lovingly tracked by fans.
In a recent interview with Zoom, Shilpa opened up about her ultra-tight bond with Karan and Chum. “Chum and I talk almost daily. So does Karan,” she smiled. With tongue firmly in cheek, she added, “But Karan is very busy—you know, he’s a busy man.”

Throughout their Bigg Boss stay, audiences would regularly catch Shilpa playfully taunting Karan and Chum regarding their emerging chemistry. The twosome, affectionately known as ‘ChumVeer’ by fans, would often be prodded by Shilpa, as if she took pleasure in creating the romance speculations. When questioned whether she played cupid, Shilpa chuckled and replied, “I will do matchmaking? I didn’t know this.” Her apparent shock only served to make her lighthearted banter even more adorable.

Shilpa also revealed a personal experience that showed the close friendship she has with Chum. She shared a personal memento that Chum had given her after visiting Nepal. “Chum had visited Nepal and she gave me this thing, and she said, ‘Ma’am, it’s for good luck.'” The act said much about their increasing friendship.
Interestingly, the nostalgia of Bigg Boss hasn’t faded for Karan Veer Mehra. According to Shilpa, he often re-watches old episodes and shares video snippets with her. “Karan keeps watching Bigg Boss and he keeps sending me little videos,” she said with amusement. “And I’m like, you’re actually watching the damn episodes? He says, ‘Yeah,’ and he’s got commentary behind.”
Back to the Big Screen
On the work front, Shilpa will be making her comeback with the supernatural fantasy thriller Jatadhara, which is written and directed by Venkat Kalyan. The movie stars Sudheer Babu, Sonakshi Sinha (in her Telugu debut), Rain Anjali, and Divya Vij. The production credit for the movie goes to Prerna Arora, Shivin Narang, Aruna Agarwal, Akshay Kejriwal, and Kussum Arora, and the movie constitutes a big part of Shilpa’s career comeback.
