After more than a decade away from television, Smriti Irani is reportedly making a grand return to acting with the second season of the iconic TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Best known for her role as Tulsi Virani, Irani became a household name when the show originally aired from 2000 to 2008. Now, the actress-turned-politician is back on set, and this time, she’s filming under Z+ security, the highest level of protection in India.
Tight Security on Set Amid Filming
According to a report by India Forums, filming for the new season has begun with strict security protocols in place. “The mobile phones of everyone on the sets, excluding Amar Upadhyay, Smriti ma’am, and Ekta Kapoor, will be taped,” a source revealed. “Everyone will be barred from using their phones to prevent any leaks. Smriti is also shooting with Z+ security, and the crew must adhere to all safety measures.”
This level of precaution highlights the anticipation and importance of the show’s revival. Fans have been eagerly awaiting confirmation for months, and now it seems production is officially underway under the Balaji Telefilms banner, co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
