Known to be the person who influences others to strive, Anand Mandal has made a deep mark in the content industry. Unlike other content creators, Anand Mandal focuses on motivating people, especially youth, to show resilience and perseverance in their lives. His idea is very simple and clear, “You will always face problems, and there will always be hurdles. A true achiever is someone who feels every emotion these challenges have to offer and then emerges triumphant with the feeling of pride. The feeling that they never gave up on themselves.” So let us see what Anand Mandal has to say about some more of our questions.
Q. Sir, most people know you as someone who has struggled a lot in his life and achieved more. So, how do you feel about this?
Ans. I have mixed feelings about this. On one end it is good that people acknowledge my work, they see my struggle as inspiration and hope to achieve bigger in their life. However, on the other hand, I don’t want people to know me just because of my struggle. I want them to get past it and see the growth I’ve had in the past years. They should probably modify the yardsticks from struggles to achievements.
Q. Talking about struggles and achievements, what have you seen more in your life?
Ans. I am sure I don’t have a definite answer to this. There was a period in my life that was dark in the sense that I felt I was going downhill. I felt I had no control over what was happening to me and around me. You know the feeling where you feel yr sab kuch mere he sath kyu hota hai. However, the sooner I got control of myself I realized sab kuch mere sath he nahi hota, bhot logo ke sath hota hai. I pulled myself together and all my energy went to work. Just then, everything changed. There were acknowledgments, achievements, praises, and whatnot. So, I think I have had a fair share of both struggles and achievements, but I believe they are two ends of the same thread.
Q. You also have a production channel by the name of Anand Mandal Production. Please tell us something about it.
Ans. Anand Mandal Production is like my kid. You nurture something, put everything you have into it, and work hard for it to turn out the best. That is my production channel, @anandmandalproduction
I had a vision and for that, I knew I needed more people. So, through my production channel, I met those new people and worked towards a common goal of showing what exactly our society is like. The videos on our production channel reveal stories that most of us have seen sometime or the other in our life but have neglected it. The videos are to show the wrongdoings of our society and bring sensitization for how we can avoid such things.
Q. Sir, lastly, what is the one piece of advice or life lesson you wish to share with the younger or rather GenZ generation?
Ans. I don’t think I am still on the verge of sharing life lessons or giving advice to anyone but the only thing I believe matters in today’s world is being what you truly are. I’ve seen many times people act differently or change their language or accent as soon as someone comes around. I don’t think this is right. One should be who they are for no one can be a better version of themselves than you. So, accepting one’s own identity is the first step towards progress.
So, it is rightly said by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
