All the bunched new releases of the week, Saurabh Shukla and Nandita Das’s ALBERT PINTO KO GUSSA KYON AATA HAI, Vivek Agnihotri’s THE TASHKENT FILES, PAHARGANJ etc got off to a dull to very ordinary starts and it was (comparatively speaking), Hollywood venture, HELLBOY that was the best of the lot, even though its opening was nothing to rave about. From amongst the new releases only THE TASHKENT FILES has some chances of survival, based upon some positive reviews.
Meanwhile, Robbie Grewal’s John Abraham-Mouni Roy starrer, spy thriller R.A.W, which showed some promise during the opening weekend , stuttered after that resulting in a 30 crore ordinary first week and unfortunately a failure tag.
Concluding with Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer, KESARI, the task of touching the 150 crore mark (the first for an Akshay Kumar solso), looks onerous, if not impossible, more so with KALANK releases on Wednesday . KESARI has netted 144 crore (to be validated) at the end of the third week and is a clean hit.
