Salman Khan firing case: Anmol Bishnoi instructed shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal to avoid wearing helmets and to smoke cigarettes

According to a chargesheet filed by the Mumbai police’s crime branch, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, delivered a nine-minute motivational speech to the shooters Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal before they fired multiple shots at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence in Galaxy Apartment, Bandra, on April 14. In this audio note, Anmol Bishnoi encouraged the shooters by telling them they would “script history” and perform the “best work” of their lives, describing their actions as “religious work” that would bring change to society. He instructed them to fire in a way that would scare Salman Khan and to empty their gun magazines during the attack.

Anmol Bishnoi also advised the shooters to appear fearless by not wearing helmets and smoking cigarettes. The shooters, along with three other individuals—Sonukumar Bishnoi, Mohammad Rafiq Choudhary, and Harpal Singh—have been arrested and are in judicial custody. Anmol Bishnoi, who is believed to be in Canada, is wanted in connection with the case, and a lookout circular has been issued against him.

On April 14, Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai was targeted in a shooting incident by two assailants on motorcycles. Following the attack, the suspected shooters, Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were apprehended in Gujarat. The police investigation led to the arrest of six individuals. However, one of the arrested individuals, Anuj Thapan, reportedly died by suicide in police custody on May 1.

In connection with the shooting, authorities have filed charges against 17 individuals, including the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi. Lawrence Bishnoi is currently incarcerated at Ahmedabad’s Sabarmati prison.
