The fourteenth season of “Khatron Ke Khiladi” premiered over the weekend, featuring intense drama sparked by Asim Riaz, known from “Bigg Boss 13”. After failing to complete a stunt, Asim claimed the task was impossible and demanded proof from the show’s producers. He also confronted fellow contestant Abhishek Kumar, threatening him, and ignored host Rohit Shetty’s instructions, leading to his expulsion.
The contentious task involved Asim, Aashish Mehrotra, and Niyati Fatnani removing flags from a hanging plank while balancing on a seesaw. Aashish and Niyati completed the task, but Asim failed. He accused the producers of setting an unachievable challenge and insisted they demonstrate it. Rohit Shetty responded by showing a rehearsal video proving the task was doable, which only escalated the tension.
Asim’s outburst included threats and insults directed at Abhishek Kumar, whom he accused of being jealous of his fame. He boasted about his wealth and status, claiming he participated in the show for his fans, not the money. This led to a heated exchange and nearly physical confrontation.
Despite initial support from his fanbase, the AsimSquad, many have expressed disappointment in his attitude and actions. The situation has led to discussions about his mental state and the impact of his behavior on the show’s dynamics. Asim has defended himself, stating that he is not on the show for fame or money, but for his fans. The controversy has also highlighted issues of bullying and provocation on the show.
Abhishek Kumar asked him to return to his place. Asim lost his cool and started shouting at him. “Don’t f**k with me. I’m 31 years old and have been in the industry for 15 years. Who are you talking about? You just got famous,” Asim told Abhishek. The actor asked Asim, “Are you jealous?” Asim shouted, “No, I am not. Everybody is famous. Joh shaurat maine dekhi hai na, kisi ne nahi dekhi hai.”
Seeing him lose his temper, the crew intervened. But Asim continued shouting and said, “The money that you guys are giving me, I earn triple of it. I have so much money you can’t even imagine. I change four cars within six months. Do you think I need that money? It is for the fans I was here, not for these losers.”
Rohit Shetty, shocked by Asim’s behavior, announced his expulsion from the show, citing respect for differing viewpoints but emphasizing the need for decorum. Shetty expressed his wishes for Asim’s success despite the incident.
Asim walked away in anger. Rohit, visibly stunned at Asim’s behaviour, said he had hosted 150–200 contestants on the show, but this incident was a “shock” to him. He then announced that Asim was expelled from the show due to his behaviour.
He said, “I wish him all luck, but now he can’t continue on this show. He has a point of view, no doubt about it, and I respect that. I wish him all luck. He is a young kid, and may God bless him with success.”
