Alia Bhatt is currently busy with promotions for her upcoming film Jigra, and she recently attended an event in Hyderabad where she shared a fun and heartwarming moment with Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The event, which was attended by actors Vedang Raina and Rana Daggubati, also saw director Trivikram Srinivas gracing the stage. Alia and Samantha bonded over Pushpa: The Rise’s hit song Oo Antava, with Alia singing a few lines from the track, much to the delight of the audience. Samantha, who originally performed the song in Pushpa, sat next to Alia, smiling as she sang, and later hugged her in appreciation.

Alia took the opportunity to praise Samantha, calling her a “hero on and off-screen” and admiring her strength, resilience, and talent. She also highlighted how quickly Samantha accepted the invitation to the event, showing their camaraderie. Alia even made a request to director Trivikram Srinivas, suggesting that he cast both her and Samantha in a future project, emphasizing that there’s no competition between them but rather mutual support.
In Jigra, Alia plays the role of Satya, a devoted sister on a mission to protect her brother, Ankur, played by Vedang Raina. Directed by Vasan Bala and produced under Dharma Productions, the film is set to release on Friday. It also features a standout soundtrack, including the popular track Chal Kudiye and a recreated version of the classic song Phoolon Ka Taaro Ka.
In other news, Sanjay Leela Bhansali was contemplating to make a big budget movie Inshallah starring Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan. However for multiple reasons including creative differences between actor and director the film got shelved. The filmmaker has now revealed how this affected Alia Bhatt. Speaking to Hollywood Reporter India, SLB revealed that the actress was shattered, disheartened and locked herself in room. He even shared how she bagged Gangubai Kathiwadi after Inshallah was put off.
