Varun Dhawan has begun shooting for the much-awaited Border 2, a war-drama sequel, which made everyone on both sides-the fans and the industry-excite with excitement. On January 16, 2025, he took to Instagram expressing his enthusiasm on joining the hardworking team behind the film. Expressing his eagerness to work alongside a talented cast and crew, he raised a toast to “new beginnings” and posted, “A new beginning with a very hard-working team. Jai Hind. #Border2.”
The film is going to be an action-packed, patriotic saga, and Varun is especially excited to share the screen with veteran actor Sunny Deol, marking a significant milestone in the Border franchise. Filmmaking for this movie has already begun in Jhansi cantonment picturesque areas, while key personalities consist of producers Bhushan Kumar, Nidhi Dutta, co-producer Shiv Chanana, and director Anurag Singh. The makers unveiled the release date for Border 2 that will be out on January 23, 2026.
