Singer Shawn Mendes spent some time off in the hills following a scintillating performance at Lollapalooza Mumbai. The Treat You Better singer posted glimpses of his tranquil holiday on social media, such as a video tour of his tranquil surroundings and a colorful moment of celebrating Holi, the festival of colors. In the video, Mendes jokingly boasted gulaal (colored powder) on his face and wished his fans a happy Holi. Although he did not disclose the exact place of his retreat, the photos gave a peek into his leisurely abode in India.

A Lollapalooza Mumbai Performance to Remember

Mendes’ performance at Lollapalooza on March 8, which took place at Mumbai’s Mahalakshmi Race Course, was a huge success. The culminating moment of his 90-minute performance was when he wore an Indian cricket team jersey that had Virat Kohli’s name printed on it. In a touching move, Mendes recognized the Indian national cricket team before their crucial match against New Zealand at the ICC Tournament in Dubai. “India, I know you have a big, important cricket game tomorrow. Good luck. I hope everything goes well for you,” he said to the crowd.

During the performance, Mendes demonstrated his versatility by incorporating Indian instruments such as the sitar and tabla into his guitar, exciting fans with a new musical fusion. “India Dhanyawaad,” he posted on X, declaring his love for Mumbai and its people. His performance featured hits such as There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back, Lost In Japan, and Wonder, leaving fans eagerly anticipating a solo concert in India.
