The trailer of Housefull 5 has finally been unveiled, and the comedy-drama has already impressed fans with its extravagant visuals and hilarious plot. At the grand trailer launch event, Akshay Kumar was asked a cheeky question about his remuneration for the film — and his witty response left everyone in splits.
In a video shared by Filmygyan, Akshay jokingly replied, “Agar maine paise liye honge toh tujhe kyun batau? Tu humara bhajita lagta hai jo tujhe batau? Maine paise liye, bahot acche khase liye. Film bani hai, bahot acche khase budget mein bani hai. Bahut maza aaya. Aaj khushi ka din hai. Kya raid daalna hai?” His humorous take had the audience roaring with laughter.

The Housefull 5 trailer kicks off with a celebration aboard a luxury yacht where a billionaire is celebrating his 100th birthday. But the joyous occasion turns mysterious when the billionaire dies just before announcing his will. Three men Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan become prime suspects, but there’s a twist: they’ve been drugged and have no memory of who they are. Jackie Shroff and Sanjay Dutt are brought in to unravel the mystery, setting the stage for a wild ride full of chaos and comedy.
During the event, Akshay was also asked about the Hera Pheri 3 controversy involving co-star Paresh Rawal. Akshay declined to delve into the issue, saying, “This is a serious matter and will be handled in court. I don’t think I should discuss it here.” He also defended Rawal, saying, “He is a great actor and a dear friend. I don’t appreciate such foolish terms being used for him.”
Housefull 5 is set to release on June 6, 2025.
