The buzz over Hera Pheri 3, the third part of one of Bollywood’s greatest comedy franchises, has assumed a dramatic turn. The audience was eagerly waiting for the return of the popular trio of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao. However, now the exit of Paresh Rawal, who gave an immortal touch to the character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, has put the project in controversy and uncertainty.
Paresh Rawal Confirms Exit
One of the fans recently posted an emotional appeal on Instagram asking Rawal to change his mind and addressing him as the “real hero” of the movie. The veteran actor responded with, “No… Hera Pheri has three heroes,” which seemed to suggest that he is walking out of the project. This brief but indicative response has gone viral and left the fans disheartened and anxious about the prospects of the movie.

The Dispute Behind the Scenes
As per industry circles, the reason for Paresh Rawal’s departure was not merely over creative differences. Evidently, there were monetary and legal issues with the producer of the film, Akshay Kumar, which resulted in a conflict. The situation went so far that Akshay reportedly took legal action, upon which Paresh Rawal asked for the signing fee back with interest implying serious strife between the veteran partners.

Who Will Fill Baburao’s Shoes?
And now, the biggest question of all remains who will play the legendary Baburao? Pankaj Tripathi fans on social media are cheering for him, with his great comic timing and versatility being highlighted. Yet, the makers have said nothing about a replacement or a casting update.
Will the Magic Return?
With the first two Hera Pheri films redefining Indian comedy, hopes for part three are sky-high. But can the franchise repeat the magic without its most popular character? Only time will tell.
