Just days before Beyoncé kicked off her highly anticipated Atlanta shows, a serious security breach occurred involving unreleased material tied to her “Cowboy Carter” tour. According to a report from the Atlanta Police Department, the theft happened on July 8 two days before Beyoncé began her four-night residency at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Sensitive Tour Material Among Stolen Items
The incident involved a rental vehicle used by Beyoncé’s choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue. While parked at a busy Atlanta food hall around 8:09 p.m., the pair left their 2024 Jeep Wagoneer unattended for an hour. Upon returning, they found the rear window shattered and two suitcases missing. Inside those bags were five thumb drives reportedly containing unreleased Beyoncé tracks, concert setlists, show blueprints, and confidential footage.

In addition, thieves stole two MacBook laptops, Apple headphones, designer clothing, and personal items. Grant reportedly told police the drives included “sensitive personal information” related to Beyoncé, escalating concerns over the possible leak of unreleased content.
Police Investigation Underway
Surveillance cameras captured footage of the theft in progress and helped identify a suspect vehicle—a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra. Light fingerprints were recovered from the scene, and location tracking software on the stolen electronics allowed officers to follow signals to a nearby area. While a suspect has been identified and an arrest warrant issued, authorities have not released the name. It remains unclear whether the stolen data has been fully recovered.
