Director Gowtam Tinnanuri’s much-awaited action thriller Kingdom, starring Vijay Deverakonda, has officially received a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing its path for theatrical release.
Trailer Launch and New Release Date Confirmed
Sithara Entertainments, one of the film’s producers, made the announcement on their official X handle on Saturday. They wrote, “The gun is loaded. And the rage is real. BLAZING ALL GUNS with a U/A Certificate. Let the rampage begin with the #KingdomTrailer today.”
Originally slated for release on March 28, the film faced multiple delays—first postponed to May 30, then July 4, and now finally locked in for July 31. Despite the shifting dates, excitement around the film has remained high, especially after the teaser was released. In it, Vijay Deverakonda is seen in a fierce avatar, portraying a powerful and unstoppable force driven by betrayal and vengeance.
Powerful Story and Technical Excellence
Formerly known as VD12, Kingdom carries the tagline: “From the shadows of betrayal, shall rise a king.” The story promises a gripping action-packed narrative with emotional undertones.
The film is written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and editing by Navin Nooli. It is produced under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune 4 Cinemas, with Srikara Studios presenting.
Neeraja Kona handles costume design, while Vijay Binni has choreographed the songs. The action sequences, a major highlight of the film, have been choreographed by Yannick Ben, Chethan D’Souza, and Real Satis.
