CARRIE’S FINAL CHAPTER! Sarah Jessica Parker reveals And Just Like That is ending

Sarah Jessica Parker revealed the emotional process of wrapping up And Just Like That, the Sex and the City revival show.

Having played Carrie Bradshaw for almost three decades, Sarah Jessica Parker is ready to leave behind the character that made her career. Recently, in a chat with host Evan Ross Katz, the actress reminisced about her time, describing the role as “an extraordinary job.”

Looking Back on the End of an Era

In the interview, Parker revealed the emotional process of wrapping up And Just Like That, the Sex and the City revival show. Asked if this is officially the end of Carrie Bradshaw, Parker answered thoughtfully, “It’s incredibly hard to be definitive.” She stressed that it’s not easy to bid adieu, but there is a feeling of wholeness coming from closing a chapter that means something.

Parker also attributed the decision to the extreme respect she and showrunner Michael Patrick King have for the series and its heritage. “Why would you ever stop doing something… that works at this time?” she wondered, before expounding, “It’s because of the deep love for the work and the show. That’s where Michael and I were all those years ago when we wrapped up the Sex and the City television series.”

A Role That Defined a Generation

Earlier this month, it was officially revealed that And Just Like That will be ending with its soon-to-be-released third season. After the news broke, Parker posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, explaining how Carrie Bradshaw has influenced her life and career over the last 27 years.

She spoke of profound thanks to fans and cast members, closing the door on an era with a combination of nostalgia and pride.

Last Season Is Coming Soon

And Just Like That season 3 will be the final installment of the show and can be streamed on HBO Max. Fans will be treated to an emotional goodbye to one of the most recognizable TV characters.
