The recent episode of COLORS’ Dhamaal With Pati Patni Aur Panga became a sidesplitting rollercoaster ride of love and laughter due to the theatrical entry of none other than Rakhi Sawant. Famous for her blunt personality and over-the-top theatricality, Rakhi lit the stage literally and otherwise when she burst into the wedding ceremony of Avika Gor and Milind Chandwani and made Abhishek Kumar’s search for the “perfect patni” a full-fledged comedy circus.
The instant Rakhi set eyes on Abhishek, she exclaimed with complete Bollywood-flavored drama, “Mujhe pati mil gaya hai!” The crowd burst into laughter, and the normally self-assured Abhishek was flustered to show. In a half-hearted move to play down the moment, he uncomfortably asserted he was “just kidding” about romance, but the harm or entertainment was already inflicted.
Taking things a notch higher, Rakhi performed the ultimate filmi move by saying “Qubool hai” three times. The dramatic proposal sent Abhishek running for cover as Rakhi, unfazed and fabulous, chased him onto the dance floor. What followed was pure entertainment gold: Rakhi’s over-the-top dance moves and theatrical possessiveness had Abhishek literally dodging her like a pro, while the crowd cheered in delight.
Step in comedian Munawar Faruqui, who did not miss the golden chance for humor and requested Abhishek to recite a shaayri for his “beloved Rakhi.” Abhishek’s quick witted response, “Doctor ne mana kiya hai!” left the house in splits, with laughter not only from the crowd but also from his former girlfriend Isha Malviya.
Throughout the episode, Abhishek tried everything from clever comebacks to outright escaping the scene but Rakhi’s larger-than-life energy kept him on his toes. Her fearless antics and impeccable comic timing made her the star of the episode, with social media instantly buzzing with clips and memes.
