Actor Ajith Kumar recently embarked on a spiritual trip to Kerala with his wife, actress Shalini, and their son, Aadvik Kumar. Shalini shared a series of pictures from their temple visit on social media, which quickly caught fans’ attention — not just for the family’s serene moments, but for a tattoo on Ajith’s chest that was revealed for the first time.
In the photos, the family is seen immersed in temple rituals. One image shows Shalini applying a tikka on Ajith’s forehead, while another captures the trio posing together in traditional attire. Shalini wore a simple yellow kurta set, while Ajith and Aadvik twinned in white ethnic outfits. Fans were quick to notice a tattoo of a goddess on the right side of Ajith’s chest, sparking widespread discussion online.
One fan identified the tattoo as that of Goddess Ootukulangara Bhagavathy — Ajith’s family deity, or Kula Deivam — worshipped by Palakkad Tamils. “He visits the temple often,” the fan commented. Others praised the tattoo’s spiritual symbolism, with one user writing, “May the blessings of that God be with you always.”
In a recent India Today interview, Ajith opened up about his wife’s unwavering support, particularly during his motorsport pursuits. “If not for Shalini, I wouldn’t be able to do all this. She takes care of everything when I’m away — the home, the children. It’s not just my sacrifice but hers too,” he said, expressing gratitude for her strength.

Ajith and Shalini, who met and fell in love while filming Amarkalam in 1999, celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in April this year.
