Actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra and her sister Shamita Shetty were recently spotted in Mumbai with their mother, Sunanda Shetty, who has been recovering after a brief hospitalisation. Sunanda was earlier admitted to Lilavati Hospital due to reported age-related health concerns. Now discharged, she stepped out with her daughters for a casual outing, indicating she is steadily on the road to recovery.
The trio was snapped exiting Blondie, a popular Mumbai restaurant, where they were believed to have spent some relaxed family time. Shilpa, known for her effortless style, opted for a comfortable grey-on-grey athleisure look. Her soft, wavy hair, dewy makeup, oversized sunglasses, and chic handbag completed the understated yet stylish ensemble. Shamita, meanwhile, kept things simple and elegant in fitted pants paired with a loose sleeveless top. Sporting a no-makeup appearance and open hair, she exuded a casual, laid-back charm. Sunanda chose comfort as she stepped out in a brown printed suit set, her hair tied neatly in a bun.
While Shilpa and Shamita initially appeared to avoid interacting with the paparazzi stationed outside the restaurant, Sunanda acknowledged the photographers with a warm smile and briefly paused before continuing toward the car. Both daughters were attentive and ensured their mother was comfortably settled in the vehicle. After escorting her, the sisters shared a quick goodbye and posed momentarily for the cameras before departing for their respective destinations.
Sunanda’s public appearance comes shortly after a significant legal development involving her daughter Shilpa. The actress recently withdrew her petition seeking permission to travel abroad after the Bombay High Court refused to stay a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against her and her husband, businessman Raj Kundra, in connection with an alleged ₹60-crore cheating case. On October 8, the court stated that lifting the LOC would only be considered if the disputed amount was deposited. The LOC was initially issued by the Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW). Following the court’s stance, Shilpa’s counsel informed the bench—comprising Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Gautam A. Ankhad—that she had decided not to pursue travel plans for the time being.
On the work front, Shilpa last appeared as a judge on Super Dancer Chapter 5, while Raj Kundra recently ventured into television with the reality show The Traitors.
