American actress and dancer Lauren Gottlieb, best known for her lead role in Remo D’Souza’s hit film ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, has officially made Mumbai her home once again. After several years of living and working in the US, the actress has returned to India and purchased a brand-new house in the city that shaped her Bollywood career.
On Friday, Lauren shared a series of heartfelt photos from her housewarming ceremony, which she performed following traditional Hindu rituals. Alongside the pictures, she wrote, “Grateful to call Mumbai home once again. This time, not just as a Gottlieb, but as a Jones. This is the beginning of something deeply special. Welcome home!!! All your blessings are welcome.” The photos radiated warmth as she marked the start of her new chapter.
In the images, Lauren looked breathtaking in a red traditional kurta set, beautifully embroidered with intricate detailing. She paired it with matching palazzo pants and a dupatta, completing her ethnic look with bangles, minimal makeup, and a tiny bindi that added a graceful finishing touch.
Lauren’s return to Mumbai follows her marriage to London-based creative director Tobias Jones in June 2025. Sharing glimpses from their wedding earlier this year, Lauren expressed how magical their ceremony felt. “11th June 2025 — the day we said ‘I Do’ to Forever Together, under the light of a Strawberry Full Moon. Surrounded by our closest family and friends, becoming each other’s always… the most beautiful beginning to our next chapter.”
Her reappearance in India has sparked conversations about a Bollywood comeback. In a recent interview with the Free Press Journal, Lauren opened up about rediscovering her connection with the Indian entertainment world. “When I returned to India recently for my first dance teaching tour, it was such a powerful moment of reconnection,” she said. The visit allowed her to meet old colleagues and collaborators, leading to discussions about “exciting upcoming projects.”
Lauren confirmed that she sees her return as more than a personal milestone—it’s also a professional resurgence. “Would I say there’s a comeback happening? Absolutely! I believe it’s already underway,” she said confidently.
With a new home, a new marriage, and new beginnings in Bollywood, Lauren Gottlieb’s Mumbai chapter looks brighter than ever.
