Tamannaah Bhatia has officially unveiled her next big project, Purushan, and fans can’t stop talking about it. The actress announced the film on social media with a striking title teaser that instantly grabbed attention. Featuring intriguing visuals and a dramatic title reveal, the promo confirmed Tamannaah as the female lead while also marking her reunion with actor Vishal after their earlier collaboration in Action.
This project also strengthens Tamannaah’s creative partnerships, as it will be her third collaboration with the film’s director and her second time sharing screen space with Vishal. While the makers have not yet disclosed the release date or detailed storyline, the teaser has already sparked massive curiosity among movie buffs.
The film’s screenplay and dialogues are penned by Venkatt Ragavan. On the technical front, cinematography is handled by Gopi Amarnath, while Roger takes charge of editing. Purushan is presented by Khushbu Sundar under the Avni Cinemax banner, adding further credibility and anticipation to the project.
Alongside the announcement, Tamannaah delighted fans by sharing behind-the-scenes videos from a song shoot on her Instagram. In one clip, the actress is seen reviewing her dance performance on a monitor with choreographer Vijay Ganguly and crew members. Vijay praises the shot and suggests trying another take, to which Tamannaah humorously replies, “No!”, leaving fans amused by her playful side.
Another BTS video showcases Tamannaah dancing energetically while actors Pankaj Tripathi, Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana follow her moves. Sharing these fun moments, she captioned the post, “From 1st view to 1 Billion Views! Thank you for all the love,” expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response to her song Aaj Ki Raat.
In a recent chat with The Lallantop, Tamannaah opened up about the unexpected popularity of the track. She revealed that several mothers told her their children would only eat food if Aaj Ki Raat played in the background. Calling it a funny ritual created by mothers rather than kids, she explained that while children don’t understand the lyrics, they instinctively enjoy the rhythm and music.
On the work front, Tamannaah is also preparing for another exciting venture, VVAN: Force of the Forest. Directed by Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, the mythology-based thriller stars her opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Set deep in the forests of Central India, the film promises a gripping narrative and is scheduled for release on May 15.
