The wait is over for fans of the Money Heist universe. Netflix has released the adrenaline-fueled trailer for Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine, the latest chapter in the spin-off series centered on the franchise’s most charismatic criminal. Packed with high-speed car chases, gunfights, boat escapes, explosions, and massive vaults, the 90-second teaser wastes no time proving that Berlin’s world is about to get even bigger, bolder, and more dangerous.
A dramatic voiceover sets the tone from the very first moment: “Seville… the perfect setting to inspire our new heist.” This time, the story shifts to the sun-drenched streets of Seville, Spain, offering a vibrant yet volatile backdrop for another elaborate criminal operation.
Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine follows the events of the first Berlin spin-off season, bringing back fan-favorite characters for a mission that seems almost impossible. Berlin and Damián reunite the crew with an ambitious plan — to steal Leonardo da Vinci’s legendary Renaissance painting The Lady with an Ermine. But as the trailer quickly reveals, the artwork isn’t the true endgame. The real targets are the powerful Duke and Duchess of Málaga, a wealthy couple who believe they can blackmail Berlin. Naturally, underestimating him proves to be their first mistake.
The scale of the mission is teased through another ominous line in the trailer: “We’re going for the biggest heist in history.” With blueprints, disguises, secret tunnels, and precision timing on display, the new season promises the signature Money Heist style — clever strategy mixed with explosive chaos.
Pedro Alonso returns as Berlin, alongside Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña Fernández, and Joel Sánchez, all reprising their roles from the earlier series. Adding fresh energy to the gang is Inma Cuesta, known for The Mess You Leave Behind, who joins as Candela, a new member of Berlin’s crew. Meanwhile, José Luis García-Pérez and Marta Nieto step into the roles of the Duke and Duchess of Málaga, the wealthy power players at the heart of the new conflict.
The eight-episode series is set to premiere on Netflix on May 15. The show is created by Money Heist masterminds Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, who have co-written the season with David Barrocal, Lorena G. Maldonado, Itziar Sanjuán, Humberto Ortega, and Luis Garrido Julve.
Directing duties are shared by Albert Pintó, David Barrocal, and José Manuel Cravioto, with production handled by Pina’s Vancouver Media.
With art theft, royal deception, and Berlin’s signature charm, Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine is gearing up to deliver another thrilling chapter in the Money Heist legacy.
