Ever since Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied the knot in 2021, fans have closely followed their journey as one of Bollywood’s most beloved couples. So when the duo welcomed their first child on November 7, 2025, it felt like a shared celebration for their admirers across the country.
The couple named their baby boy Vihaan Kaushal — a name that instantly reminded many of Vicky’s iconic character Major Vihaan Shergill from Uri: The Surgical Strike. Now, with baby Vihaan turning three months old, Vicky has finally opened up about fatherhood, Katrina’s strength as a new mom, and how life has changed since their little one arrived — and his heartfelt words are winning the internet all over again.
At a recent event hosted by The Hollywood Reporter India, Vicky was asked how it feels to step into fatherhood.
With his signature honesty and warmth, the actor shared:
“He is three months old right now. There’s very little a dad has to do when the baby is three months old. I’m just trying to be a cheerleader and waiting for him to grow up so I can contribute more.”
His candid admission struck a chord with fans, reflecting both humility and excitement for the journey ahead.
While speaking about Katrina’s new role as a mother, Vicky didn’t hold back his admiration.
“Right now, the mother is being the superhero. She has been a warrior through her pregnancy and she has been a warrior as a mother as well. I’m so incredibly proud of her and I love her so much.” The heartfelt tribute once again showcased the deep bond the couple shares — a love story that continues to resonate with fans.
Earlier this year, on January 7, when Vihaan turned two months old, the couple introduced him to the world through an emotional social media post.
Sharing a picture of their hands holding their son’s tiny fist, they wrote:“Our Ray of Light ❤️ Vihaan Kaushal विहान कौशल. Prayers are answered. Life is beautiful. Our world is changed in an instant.”
The post quickly went viral, drawing warm wishes from fans and friends alike.
Among those celebrating was Aditya Dhar, who directed Vicky in Uri. His congratulatory message beautifully linked reel and real life:“From bringing Major Vihaan Shergill to life on screen to now holding little Vihaan in your arms — life has come full circle.”
2025 turned out to be a landmark year for Vicky — both personally and professionally. He not only embraced fatherhood but also delivered a massive box office success with Chhaava. His portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji received widespread acclaim, and his on-screen chemistry with Rashmika Mandanna was particularly appreciated.
He will soon share screen space with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. As he balances fatherhood and an evolving career, Vicky seems ready to embrace his next chapter — both on screen and at home. And if his words are any indication, baby Vihaan has already become the brightest light in their world.
