After months of anticipation, the official title of Suriya’s next project — previously referred to as Suriya46 — has finally been revealed. The film is titled Vishwanath & Sons and is scheduled for a theatrical release in July 2026.
Along with the title announcement, the makers shared a first-look poster that hints at the emotional tone of the film. Described as a “wholesome entertainer,” the movie appears to focus on relationships, family values, and purpose-driven storytelling.
The poster offers a gentle yet striking visual — featuring Suriya holding a baby in a carrier against his chest. With a warm smile and a nurturing expression, the actor seems to be stepping into a softer, more emotionally grounded role. This marks a noticeable shift from his recent action-heavy appearances.
The film is directed by Venky Atluri and promises to deliver a story rooted in family dynamics and emotional connections.
Actress Mamitha Baiju plays a significant role in the project and has already shared a fond memory from the sets that highlights Suriya’s thoughtful nature.
At a recent awards event, Mamitha spoke about a daily ritual she observed during the shoot. She noticed that Suriya had a special kind of coffee he drank every day. Curious about it, she asked his assistants about the drink.
When Suriya learned about her interest, he made sure that Mamitha received the same coffee each day for the remainder of the shoot. The actress described the gesture as small yet meaningful — a moment that left a lasting impression on her.
Adding further depth to the cast, the film also marks the Telugu cinema return of Raveena Tandon, who will be seen in an important role.
She will be joined by veteran performer Radikaa Sarathkumar, strengthening the ensemble and bringing experience to the narrative.
With its emphasis on relationships and emotional storytelling, Vishwanath & Sons appears to aim for universal appeal, offering a story that resonates across generations.
Meanwhile, Suriya’s professional calendar for 2026 looks equally promising beyond this project.
He is also preparing for the release of Karuppu, an action drama directed by RJ Balaji.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Trisha Krishnan, Indrans, Natty Subramaniam, Swasika, Sshivada, Supreeth Reddy and Yogi Babu in key roles.
Together, Vishwanath & Sons and Karuppu showcase two distinct facets of Suriya’s acting journey — one rooted in emotional storytelling and the other in action-driven drama.
With both films lined up for release, 2026 is shaping up to be an important year for the actor, offering audiences a balance of heartfelt narratives and high-energy entertainment.
