Netflix’s live-action adaptation of the iconic manga and anime One Piece returns with Season 2 as the Straw Hat Pirates leave East Blue and head toward the legendary Grand Line. The series, based on the world created by Eiichiro Oda, follows aspiring pirate captain Monkey D. Luffy and his growing crew as they search for the mysterious treasure known as the One Piece. After assembling his core team in Season 1 and defeating Arlong, Luffy and his companions now face a far more dangerous world filled with powerful enemies, unpredictable islands and complex political forces. Leading the series once again is Iñaki Godoy as Luffy, the rubber-bodied pirate captain whose dream is to become King of the Pirates.
Luffy’s optimism and determination continue to drive the crew forward as they sail deeper into uncharted waters. Returning alongside him are the core members of the Straw Hat Pirates, including Emily Rudd as navigator Nami, Mackenyu as swordsman Roronoa Zoro, Jacob Romero Gibson as sharpshooter Usopp and Taz Skylar as chef Sanji. Together they continue their quest across dangerous seas in search of adventure and treasure.
Season 2 also brings back several familiar faces from the first season. Morgan Davies returns as marine recruit Koby, whose journey within the Marines places him on a path that sometimes clashes with Luffy’s ambitions. Vincent Regan also reprises his role as Vice Admiral Garp, the legendary marine officer who is revealed to be Luffy’s grandfather. Another returning character is Buggy the Clown, played by Jeff Ward, whose chaotic rivalry with the Straw Hats continues to unfold.
The second season introduces a wave of new characters connected to the criminal organization Baroque Works, which becomes a major threat in the Grand Line storyline. Charithra Chandran joins the series as Miss Wednesday, while Lera Abova appears as Miss All‑Sunday. David Dastmalchian takes on the role of Mr. 3, an eccentric strategist known for elaborate traps, and Camrus Johnson portrays Mr. 5, a Baroque Works agent with explosive abilities. Jazzara Jaslyn plays Miss Valentine, while Daniel Lasker appears as Mr. 9 and Sophia Anne Caruso joins as Miss Goldenweek.
Another major addition to the series is fan-favorite character Tony Tony Chopper, the brilliant doctor and reindeer-human hybrid who becomes an important member of the Straw Hat crew. Chopper is brought to life through voice and facial capture performed by Mikaela Hoover.
Season 2 also expands the story with new characters tied to key story arcs as per Variety. Katey Sagal appears as the sharp-tongued doctor Dr. Kureha, while Joe Manganiello joins the series as Sir Crocodile, also known as Mr. 0, the powerful and calculating leader of Baroque Works. Crocodile’s ambitions threaten an entire kingdom, making him one of Luffy’s most formidable enemies so far.
As the Straw Hat Pirates enter the Grand Line, the stakes become much higher than anything they faced in the East Blue. New allies, dangerous enemies and mysterious islands await them as they continue their search for the legendary treasure that could make Luffy the King of the Pirates.
