Netflix is bringing a new series called Glory, which will release on May 1. It is a sports thriller set in the tough and competitive world of boxing. The story mixes revenge, ambition, a murder mystery and complicated family relationships, showing how intense and harsh this world can be. The story takes place in Haryana and begins with the mysterious death of Nihal Singh, who was seen as India’s big hope for an Olympic boxing medal. As the story moves forward, emotions like anger, ambition and revenge start taking over, revealing a tangled web of relationships, power struggles and betrayal. In this world, the fight for success is not just about winning in the ring but also about personal battles.
The series features a strong cast including Divyenndu Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Suvinder Vicky, Jannat Zubair, Ashutosh Rana, Sikandar Kher, Sayani Gupta, Yashpal Sharma and Kashmira Pardeshi among others.
Talking about his role as Devinder Singh, Divyenndu said he was drawn to how raw and real the world of the show feels. He explained that in this story, success does not come from pride but from deep personal emotions and anger. His character Dev is not a boxer, but everything around the sport affects him deeply, making him unpredictable. He described Dev as someone who is tough and impulsive, someone who feels everything very strongly, whether it is love or hate. He also mentioned that even with all the pain his character carries, there is a sense of control and even a bit of humour that keeps him grounded. He added that working again with creator Karan Anshuman pushed him to explore the character in a deeper and more challenging way.
The story also follows Dev and Ravi, two characters dealing with intense personal struggles that change their lives. Their journey is not easy, as success in this world comes with sacrifice, loss and pain.
Pulkit Samrat shared that what attracted him to the series was how real and tough the world feels. He said his character Ravi is someone who stays calm on the outside but carries strong emotions within. According to him, true strength comes from staying in control even when things are falling apart. He added that the role reminded him that success is about showing up again and again, even when it is difficult, because champions are shaped by what they go through.
Suvinder Vicky spoke about his role as Raghubir Singh, a strict and disciplined coach who has built his entire life around boxing. He said the character does not believe in showing weakness and expresses himself more through actions than words. For him, boxing is not just a sport but a way of life, something that demands constant effort, routine and sacrifice every single day.
Glory is created by Karan Anshuman and Karmanya Ahuja and produced by Mohit Shah and Anshuman under Atomic Films. The writing team includes Anshuman, Ahuja and Vaibhav Vishal, while the series is directed by Karan Anshuman and Kanishk Varma. The show aims to bring a bold and different kind of storytelling to audiences.
